I’m actually ahead on the game this year. I normally start planning my Christmas range in July, so June is a major achievement for me.

Sales have been fairly rubbish so far this year so I’m more determined than ever to make this Christmas the best it can be!

Plus I hope to have some stock ready for our Christmas in July market, right here on the grid!

This year our online Christmas in July virtual market will run from 16th-17th July. Stalls cost £7 (non refundable) and can be applied for through DM.

This market is all about Christmas so it’s the ideal opportunity for you to launch your Christmas range.

Christmas in July will run across the Saturday and the Sunday and if your application is successful You will be allocated a day for your stall. You will be required to submit a minimum of 2 photos (this will be confirmed once final numbers have been decided) and the grid posts will be uploaded by 10am on your chosen day.

You will be required to engage with the market in the lead up to help promote. Promotional graphics will be given to you to do this.

Support is given and you’ll be added to a group chat 2 weeks before for full instructions as well the opportunity to network with the other makers.

Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration, it’s 204 days away…

BUT in reality for us small business owners that’s 204 days to make the most of the best seasonal selling time of the year!

Yes, you might think that you don’t need your range ready until end of October, (that’s only 149 days away) but experience has shown me that shoppers generally start their Christmas shopping once the kids are back in school at the beginning of September (only 89 days away!)

And don’t underestimate the power of Christmas in July, with lots of events likely to take place.

So now you’re looking at 27 days…
So really, if you look at it that way, Christmas selling season is only a little less than a month away.
If you haven’t started your Christmas planning yet, then start TODAY!
