Robbins Piano Teaching
Piano Teacher
Enjoying some Christmas family time, making memories :-). Thank you for the words/cards/gifts of thanks from my lovely students. It has been a wonderful year of teaching. Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and New Year. See you in 2024.
This term, I set my students who have been learning for a year or more a challenge...to play 11 pieces to performance standard each term. These amazing students managed to do it!! With a few others not far behind.
Well done to these fabulous five. Keep up the good work, and keep playing the piano over the Christmas holidays.
If you're a teacher and you'd like a copy of my 33 piece challenge, you can download it for free at www.mymusicresource.com .

My beautiful assistant has been helping me make up some little goodie bags for my piano students. It's just a little something to say Merry Christmas, and well done for working hard this term :-). Last lessons for this term coming up over the next couple of weeks.
A new challenge this year has been to encourage my students to learn more pieces. I've introduced '33 piece challenge' for those who have been learning for a year with me.
They aim to learn 11 new pieces in a term - some of them a couple of levels below where they are, and some that stretch them a bit more. They can then stick a sticker over a circle, and write the name of the piece on the back.
This resource is available for free to download in my My Music Resource shop. The link is in my bio.
How do you encourage your students to learn more repertoire than just exam pieces?
Jingle Bells has gone down really well with my students this week. Not sure if they are driving their parents crazy yet, but I've been creating another activity book based on 'Silent Night'. I'm looking for 20 piano teachers who would like to review this for me over the next week or so. If you are that person, please DM me. All I ask is that you write a review on My Music Resource when I pop it on there and send me any feedback.
If you're looking for a christmas piano piece plus some consolidation exercises that are fun, check out my new Jingle Bells Piano Activity Books. Link is in my bio..
I've popped my Jingle Bells Activity Books up here if you'd like to purchase a copy.
Jingle Bells Piano Activity Book | Primer Edition (Hands Separately) - My Music Resource This hands separate version of Jingle Bells is ideal for primer level students. Includes the pieces, warm ups, practice ideas and fun colouring activities.
Do you ever get bright ideas the morning of your lesson? Well, chaos may have reigned in our house, but I got these ta and t**i laminated cards ready just in time to use them with my youngest students today. They worked a treat alongside rhythm resource.
A bit of piano preparation for this next half term. If you have been taught by me for a year or more, you'll be getting one of these folders over the next few weeks. Design work by . Take a look at my stories for a look inside!
Happy Half Term! Don't forget to keep practising :-).
Hello! Welcome to my Instagram and page. I'm so glad you've found it.
My name is Rebekah, and this is my music/piano teaching page. I was a secondary school music teacher before having my kiddos and had a bit of a 'break' with them at home. Last year, I went back in to piano teaching at a local primary school (with added bits of choir and orchestra too!).
I hope this page is a place where I can share teaching ideas/resources/student achievements and where you can find out a bit more about me and my teaching :-).
