Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived..
Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love.
One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left.. Except for Love..
Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.
When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.
Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."
Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel."Vanity, please help me!""I can't help you, Love.
You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.
Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"
Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her..
Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you..
"It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed,
Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going.
When they arrived at dry land,
The elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed..Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?
"Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

Forgiveness is easier when the other person takes accountability for what they did. Forgiveness is easier when the other person shows some sort of remorse for how horribly they made you feel. But then Sometimes you have to forgive people who don't care how much they hurt you or your feelings.

It is said that when you forgive, it is more for you than it is for the other person. But you want to know what the most important thing is? Forgiving yourself. Acknowledging that you didn’t make the best choices. Choices that were completely opposite of who you are as a human being .. choices that you never would have made  on a normal day. Forgive your response to their disrespectful behavior and their mistreatment. Forgive yourself for trusting someone who used your good heart against you and manipulated you to believe they were someone they proved to not be. Forgive yourself for being kind to them even when they were hurtful and judgmental of you. Not everyone is going to have a good heart or a conscience. It’s never ideal win things can't be peaceful. You've done all you can do. You have no control over someone else's actions. Forgive yourself for trying again and again and again to be a good person to them when they only seek to humiliate you and hurt you still.

Forgive yourself for not being perfect ......forgive yourself for not accepting you for all you are. Forgive yourself for apologizing for things that you never did just to make peace. Forgive yourself for caring about someone who didn't care about you. Forgive yourself everyday until one day you will wake up with a peace in your heart knowing you did all you could do and you did it all with a good heart.

There are times we think we are flying alone. Perched out on the edge forced to spread our wings. We take a leap of faith and God shows up right on time-when we least expect it. He never leaves us. Don’t lose faith.

If you have a genuinely good heart, you know compassion, love, forgiveness, grace and mercy. You will always seek peace and kindness . If not, you will thrive off of vengeance and hate. You will build your relationships, on foundations of conditions, selfishness, lies, and pain. If you truly cared for another human being, you will always have unconditional love for them deep in your heart. This is why true love will always stand the test of time. That of a relationship of family and friends should always be unconditional. If it isn’t, then you don’t know the true meaning of love. Instead, call it what it is- self service.

Hey guys, just because there are a lot of fish in the sea, doesn’t mean you have to catch and try each one - before tossing them back in. That isn’t how fishing works and it isn’t how dating works. It’s gross.
