WORLD OCEANS DAY 2024 🩵🌊

As windsurfers we know how important having safe access to water is, but the security of this is not guaranteed for the future. At Duotone we have taken steps over the last few years to reduce our impact on the environment in an industry that is traditionally not very sustainable, such as :
♻️ completely removing virgin plastic from our packaging and replacing it with recycled cardboard or recycled plastic
♻️ our boards are made with bio-resin
♻️ launched our Concept Blue clothing line using undyed organic cotton
♻️ partnered with ClimatePartner to offset our carbon emissions from production and transportation
♻️ in 2023 we partnered with CleanHub to remove 5,000kg of plastic from the ocean
♻️ our friends at partnered with to make all our windsurf board bags and travel bags from water bottles
♻️ we use thicker x-ply laminates in our sails to give them improved puncture resistance, uv weathering resistance and reduced stretch - overall extending the usable lifetime of the sail
♻️ offering a industry-first 5 year warranty* on 80% of our sails as we believe durability and longevity leads to sustainability
♻️ our sail factory, GSL, is solar powered, as is the factory where our aluminium booms and extensions are produced ☀️

There’s still so much more we can do and we have some exciting projects running behind the scenes for how we can future proof our industry.
