Saturday marked the end of this season of Mozarts’s Idomeneo with and and I couldn’t be more grateful to both companies for the incredible opportunity and experience.
This production was especially significant for me as it was my first time in a professional chorus!

Over the past couple of months I’ve had the pleasure of covering the role of Lidochka in Victorian Opera’s production of Melbourne, Cheremushki, a wonderfully weird and topical take on Shostakovich’s original operetta! Under the direction of Constantine Costi and baton of Simon Bruckard the cast have given it their all in producing a really fun and refreshingly innovative piece of theatre!! Even though I didn’t get on the stage this time, it’s been so much fun and been such a privilege to be involved 💕🎶
Little throw back to a few weeks ago singing for the Robert Stolz Viennese Society 🎶 had the pleasure of singing with and Ian Lowe with some beautiful cello from Nils Hobiger and the incredible Phillipa Safey on the keys 🎹
Here are some photos of me “glittering and being gay” at the Valentine’s Day concert ‘Love is in the Aria’ ❤️ as you can see I was having a bit too much fun and thus I couldn’t decide which photo I liked best, so here’s 7 😉 thank you .wingyin.ng for these awesome pics 📸 and thank you to everyone else who made the evening possible 💕

Thank you to Britta Rehder for these incredible photos!!
Today marks my last day in Germany ☹️ this month has definitely had its ups and downs, what with the double pneumonia and sinus infection, impromptu 5 night stay in a hospital in Bangkok, arriving almost a week late to my programme, my bag not arriving for 14 days, getting covid and missing almost another whole week of the programme, and having my return flights cancelled and not rebooked by my airline until 3 days before my departure because they wanted to charge me a $1500 no show fee for my original flight even though they were the ones who wouldn’t let me fly (I won’t get into that, that’s a whole other story 😅) anyway, I’ve certainly been through some things! But even though all of the above was less than enjoyable, it taught me a lot about myself, that I can actually handle a lot, and I’m strong enough and resilient enough to keep going even when it feels like anything that can possibly go wrong, is! I also learned that I can sing a pretty damn good Königin der Nacht even while recovering from double lung infections and covid!! Of course I had the most amazing support system of my loved ones back in Australia, without whom I think I would have drowned in my own stressed girl tears! But I also found a brand new support system in all of the amazing friends I made at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar! Despite the setbacks, I had the most inspirational and motivational month performing a role that I love, and learning so much vocally, and professionally. And I got to do it with some truly, truly talented individuals who all have bright futures ahead of them and who I already miss so much!! Also need to mention that I am so grateful to have shared my role with 3 highly talented women ( .cristopulos ) who I admire so much for their incredible vocal ability, stage craft, and kindness, I’m so proud of the work we did and the support we had for each other ☺️ I leave Germany hungry to improve my craft and with my love of opera and singing reinvigorated by 1000%. Thank you to Damon and the whole team and to all of my amazing colleagues for making this a month I will always remember 💕
Some photos from a dress rehearsal of Die Zauberflöte, playing Königin der Nacht 🌙 loving the transition from slightly spooky to a full on manic episode
Today I (finally) arrived in the beautiful, historic city of Weimar in Germany! After a nightmare of a journey, which included 5 nights in hospital in Bangkok with pneumonia in both lungs and a sinus infection, and my luggage getting lost, I am finally here to attend the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar Summer Programme. Over the rest of July I will be rehearsing for their production of Die Zauberflöte, in which I will be playing The Queen of the Night 🌙🌙 as well as attending masterclasses and coachings! Very excited for what this month holds in store ☺️
We're smiling because we just finished an exam :)
