Congratulations to our newest class of brothers for finally being given the opportunity to complete Third Degree!

An open letter to our Newest Brothers!!!,

You have been brothers in our eyes, to the fullest definition, for many months, now. We have been so excited to see you recieve your first sets of letters, make posts on social media, and bond with your bigs & families!
However, we also recognize and understand your want to finish your journey that you anticipated as MC's. We don't have to remind you that the spring semester did not go as we planned.
But you persevered!
Though it may not have been the road that you expected to take, we hope this unconventional (and occasionally difficult) path has reinforced the fact that your family and your brothers will always have your back.

We are so beyond proud of you!

New bros, this one is for you 💙💛💙

Jim Wallace, Thank You for all your time, dedication, photos, and memories that you have given to the AAMB over the years.

Our #1 Purdue Band Fan, you will be remembered fondly and missed dearly.

It is with great sadness we share with you today the passing of our #1 Band Fan, Jim Wallace, after a brief battle with cancer. Since 1997, Jim dedicated his relentless passion to the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band. From starting his website purduebandfan.com to his Purdue Band Fan page, parents and students alike could always be sure to find a video or picture of themselves during rehearsals, Gold Days, game days, trips, and more. He created cherished memories for so many and will always be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and generosity. Jim was the lens through which the world could see the faces of our “All-American” Marching Band students. We can never repay him for all he did for Purdue Bands & Orchestras For Jim, his work at Purdue was a labor of love. To say he will be missed is a tremendous understatement.

Please keep the entire Wallace family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve the loss of our dear friend. We will always remember our biggest Purdue Band Fan, Jim Wallace.

In memory of Dr. Al G. Wright

Dr. Wright helped the Gamma Pi chapter charter in 1956 and we will be forever thankful for his integral part in both Purdue Bands and Orchestras and his support of our chapter.

Thank you for everything, Dr. Wright

AEA

It is with heavy heart that we share with you tonight, Dr. Al G. Wright passed away at his home in West Lafayette at the age of 104. Dr. Wright served as Director for Purdue Bands & Orchestras from 1954 to 1981. He remained one of our biggest supporters alongside his wife, Gladys, throughout his lifetime. Nearly half of our long history is marked by his relentless leadership and their generosity. We look forward to celebrating his wonderful legacy over the weeks to come.

Please keep Gladys and the entire Wright family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve the loss of our Director of Bands Emeritus, Dr. Al G. Wright.

On this day, March 18th, in 1956, 64 years ago, our Gamma Pi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi was chartered here at Purdue. Here's to our brothers, old and new, near and far, past and present, living and passed, and brothers yet to be, who make up our musical family. Though the current future may be uncertain, may our feet be guided through this wilderness of life together.

We are brothers. If not by blood, then by music.
