Just watched TWISTERS and wow, what a ride! 🌪️ Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, this blockbuster perfectly blends Glen Powell’s charisma, Daisy Edgar-Jones’ heartfelt performance, and the sheer chaos of Mother Nature into one epic thrill. Powell and Edgar-Jones had amazing chemistry, and Anthony Ramos totally delivered too! 💫 The stakes were super high, and those effects? Absolutely mind-blowing! 🎬 This movie is the perfect mix of action and emotion, never losing sight of its characters. The disaster scenes alone are worth the ticket. 10/10, highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“There she is, the Birthday girl!“ has spine-chilling jump scares and impressive cinematography, all backed by an unnerving score. Nicolas Cage is terrifying as a serial killer, and Monroe’s mysterious performance makes it a perfect package. I went in knowing nothing, and it turned out to be a slow burn. The acting was stellar, with Cage being histrionic as usual. This film is CREEPY. You will be uncomfortable and unable to control your emotions. It’s a freaking trip. 😱🎬

Visually, it’s aesthetically perfect. While inspired by giants like Se7en, it still feels fresh with a modern cinematic approach. The film features lots of extreme wides and smooth gimbal tracking sequences, along with incredible uses of color and practical lights. Its digital look adds a clean and calculated modern feel, which I preferred over a gritty film emulation. Fans of 90s thrillers will appreciate the familiar production design, vehicles, and melodrama. 🚗🎥

There’s a flashlight-only lit sequence that’s an all-timer. 🔦✨

Just watched Despicable Me 4! 🥰 It was so cute, loved it! The animation was absolutely amazing and a massive improvement over the third film. Go watch it and have fun 🎨✨

The film brilliantly explains how artificial intelligence brought the Soviet Union and the USA to the brink of nuclear war 40 years ago. It’s a cinematic artifact of early internet and computer technology, and arguably, it’s more relevant today than ever. 🤖⚠️

Just watched Quiet Place: Day One and it was an insane thriller horror ride! 😱🎬 Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn were phenomenal. The scares were intense, the way they cared for each other was heart felt touching, and the cat? Simply adorable! 🐈 🍕 The ending left me fully satisfied and craving pizza. Basically this movie was a love song to pizza, cats, and human connection ✨🌟.

Just watched The Bikeriders and it’s so good, y’all! 🎥✨ Jodie Comer as Kathy was an Iron Lady , and Tom Hardy nailed it as Johnny, the leader of The Vandals. But Austin Butler as Benny... OH. MY. GOD. The screen presence, the attitude, the chemistry with Hardy. Oof, cinema! 🎬🔥 It’s gritty, cool, and thoughtful. Jodie Comer is a riot and charming as Austin Butler’s considerate wife. Butler is stoic and cool as biker Benny. Tom Hardy is amazing as the tough Vandals leader John. “Freedom belongs to the fearless.” 🏍️💨 🎬🍿

Inside Out 2 🎬 is a must-watch for all ages, but especially hits home for older viewers. It’s more mature than the first, and that’s a good thing. This movie dives deep into the consequences of letting anxiety take over and shows why we are made up of many emotions. 🌟 It hits hard and makes you realize that anxiety, or nightmare-scenario planning, might just be what made humans the dominant species on Earth. 🌍 A powerful reminder that our fears can drive us, but we often mistake that for power. 🎥💭
