But yes, I've emerged from a couple of weeks of binging my shows (personal faves - 'Insecure' on Binge and 'Sort of' on Stan) and post-2023 healing to let you know the singing schedule for this month.

🧿 Wed 31 Jan 7:30 pm - Girl from Greece presents Saloni Sessions - our mix of Mediterranean Soul Jazz with a nod to our guru Nana Mouskouri and other favourite 60s and 70s femme singers.

Anyhow, mate - as always, it will be lovely to see you at one of these! But no pressure, hey! Jan is for healing. Life can begin again in Feb.

Can You Keep A Secret ? - the beautiful venue

G’day Possum! If you are feeling slow, sluggish - like you have that ‘end of year’ slow crawl to the finish line feels. I want to say you’re not on your own. It’s the collective consciousness right now - especially if you live in ‘welcome to the humidity’ QLD.

And I know you’re probably smashed with Christmas parties and gigs - December is a weird month - it’s when we want to slow down, but it’s also the month of celebration.

I don’t have any advice to offer except that when you get a chance, take the opportunity to rest and know that it’s alright not to be 'on' 110% of the time - in fact, go 50%. I’m finding it helpful to drink more water and less coffee (haha, I’m only bulls**zzing you!) But it is very life-enhancing to surround yourself with good company when your battery is a little more charged.

And go and see live music - another life giver - there are so many fabulous gigs on over the next couple of weeks.

You know how we're always told to ask ourselves, 'What is the worst thing that could happen?' when we face our fears? It is helpful, but what motivates me more is when I ask my higher self to show me all the AMAZING things that can come about when I do the thing that scares me s**zless.

And the interesting thing is that it always comes back to service. We'll never fully understand its enormous positive ripple effect on those around us.

My beautiful Mum, at 40, decided to go back and finish high school to get her senior certificate. She then went to Uni to study to be a teacher. She was petrified! And it was a huge thing to do - but it changed her life. And it changed mine to see my mother grow in confidence and personal power. I'm unsure what kind of person I'd be now if my mother hadn't taken this massive, scary leap.

Anyway - thanks, Mum and thanks, Universe.

Did you know that when we sing, we regulate ourselves and everyone around us? It stimulates the vagus nerve, which then regulates our nervous system.

On a spiritual level, when we sing, we are channels for source energy - healing ourselves and those around us.

Next time you sing, intend to be a channel for joy and love - imagine this energy engulfing the room, the suburb, the city, and the world.

I honestly believe that as Singers and Storytellers, we’re here to heal - ourselves and others. We’re here to shift the collective consciousness.

And it’s time to recognise this fully and step more powerfully into this role.
