BOYS BASKETBALL: Congratulations to junior Robby Lucas on being named this week's Scranton Times-Tribune Athlete of the Week! Robby hit seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 34 points in a 69-38 win at Valley View, then had a team-high 12 points in a 68-30 win over Delaware Valley. βοΈπ
GAMEDAY - HOME OPENER
The Comets (1-0) open their home schedule against Shamokin Area (3-1). The matchup will be VARSITY ONLY and will tip off at 6:30pm. Come support your Comets! βοΈ
TIME CHANGE: Tomorrow's home opener (Monday 12/11) vs. Shamokin has been moved up to a 6:30 p.m. start. There will now be NO JV game before the start of Varsity.

The Player Bus will leave AHHS at 11:30am. Fans who are coming for the sendoff should park in the Back Lot of the school by the Track/Turf Field.
We are requesting fans coming to the sendoff at AHHS to arrive by 11:15am.
The girls will be escorted through the 'Summit' to the I-81 on-ramp.

GIRLS SOCCER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP INFO:
Congratulations, again, to our undefeated Girls Soccer Lady Comets (23-0) on their 3-1 State Semifinal win over Shikellamy (19-4) last night to earn a trip to the PIAA 3A Championship Game on Saturday, November 18th at 4 PM @ Eagle View MS in Mechanicsburg, PA.
They will face the District 7 runner-up, Moon Area Tigers (18-2-2) who were last yearβs PIAA Champions.
The Lady Comets became the first Lackawanna Interscholastic Athletic Association girls team to make it to a PIAA soccer final, and just the third girls team from District 2 to do so, joining Lake-Lehman (1998 runner-up) and Dallas (2007 Class 2A champions). Both of those teams reached it when girls soccer was a spring sport (Per Conor Foley: Scranton Times-Tribune)
What an historic run it has been! - let's help our Girls finish it right... Get your tickets and get ready to take that trip to Cumberland Valley on Saturday!!! Rumor has it there's an opportunity for a Student Fan Bus...let's fill it up with πͺ

PIAA 3A RUNNERS-UP!!!!
Congratulations to our Girls Cross Country team who finished as State Runners-Up in today's PIAA 3A Championship at Hershey Park Arena!!!
The team will be coming back to town tonight and we will have a special presentation and recognition for them during half-time of our Girls Soccer Championship game which begins at 6 PM...Please get your tickets in advance to help us recognize these girls and their amazing accomplishment!

Based on the recommendations of Lehigh Valley Health Network, and in the best interest of the health and safety of our players, our AHHS Administration has decided to postpone today's Junior High football game vs. Wilkes-Barre Area due to the heat advisory. A makeup date is TBA.
