Sweet D.Lights
Artisan Cookie Designer and baker of sweet treats! I have a BFA and have enjoyed drawing ever since I was a little girl. Thank you and have a D.Lightful day!
I'm a conference planner, wife, and mother to a precious little girl, and I have a strong passion for baked goods and art! Cookie decorating has helped me to combine these two things, and I currently do it as a hobby. I usually do all of my cookie decorating at night, after our daughter is asleep. It makes for some late nights, but it's totally worth it! I'm always looking for inspiration, and lov
May the 4th be with you!
A previous set that I thoroughly enjoyed making. Sometimes less is definitely more. π
Birthday Bombs! (birthday themed cocoa bombs) They were a nice, little break from the Christmas themed ones.

Looking for a deliciously soft sugar cookie recipe? Hereβs one I shared a while back that is still one of my favorites! (Oleo is margarine.)
Here it is! The recipe I promised. If you love the Lofthouse sugar cookies you typically find at your local grocery store, then you'll love these! This is a family recipe, so please forgive some of the choppy instructions. It mentions oleo, and I just use butter. Works just as well! Top with buttercream icing and sprinkles, and enjoy! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions! Oh, and I definitely recommend rolling the dough at least 1/4" thick, though 1/2" is even better. The recipe also mentions double mixing. That just means to mix your batches one at a time. Don't try doubling the recipe all at once. I managed to get approx 50 cookies from one batch.
Cookie friends! I just wanted to share a great idea to personalize your cookie gifts this year. A close friend makes these platters, and not only are they super cute, theyβre great quality. I own several of their items! I just wanted you to know so you can order now and have them ready before Christmas!

You know things are busy in my kitchen when little sister is brought out to play! Love my mixers!
140 cookies and a 3 layer cake! Ready... go! πππ
A cake and 50 cookies I recently created for a wonderful client! Flowers were later added to the cake by the client. The top tier is carrot cake, bottom tier is vanilla, covered in a vanilla buttercream frosting. Yum!
I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Independence Day tomorrow! Have fun, be safe, and enjoy lots of red, white and blue treats!
To my fellow cookie decorators, the 4th of July is right around the corner!!! You know someone is going to want some super cute 4th of July themed sugar cookies. And if you have the awesome stencils that I used on this set, it will make the job SO much easier! Please check out all of the really great stencils over at 2 T's Stencils. Excellent customer service, too! https://www.2tsstencils.com/ (*** the July 4th stencil is not from 2T's, but they have similar ones to choose from. I can't remember where that one came from! Argh!***)
Teachers are amazing, and definitely deserve to be recognized for all that they do! These are sets I donated to my daughter's school for Teacher Appreciation week.
Just completed the final details on this set of birthday cookies. The saying "Less is more" really rings true with this set. Clean and elegant, with great depth. I love them, and I hope the little girl receiving them loves them too!
A work in progress... πππ
Teacher Appreciation and Graduation season is upon us!
This strawberry sugar cookie dough may be my berry best flavor yet! (No food coloring was used.)
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

Between Stencil Snap and two piece soccer ball stencil, this set of soccer ball cookies is going to be a breeze! I can fit both stencils in the Stencil Snap at the same time, and just pick it up and move it when I'm ready for the next step. So easy! Now I just need to pipe the name of each player on a cookie and I'm done. If you ever have an order for soccer cookies, you NEED these two items!
Remember my post from yesterday? Well, here are the final results! Paint your own Easter egg cookies for my daughter's class party! The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves, and it was fun watching them paint the cookies.
Stay tuned to see what fun will be had with these cookies tomorrow!
