The girls varsity soccer team has another big game today. Come out and support the Lady Warriors as they take on Richfield Springs in the first round of sectionals. Game time is 3:30 at WAJ. Don’t forget to stop by the concession stand to support the Booster Club. Let’s go Warriors!

Shout out to the Girls Varsity Soccer Team who will be playing in the League Championship Saturday October 14th at 10 AM at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta. Let’s go Warriors!

Good news! Brooks BBQ chicken dinners are still available. Stop by our table this Sunday at the Autumn Affair from 12-3 at WAJ. We’ll be there, rain or shine. Thank you for supporting the Booster Club and our WAJ athletes.

The WAJ Booster Club will hold a Brooks BBQ chicken fundraiser on Sunday, October 8th with pick-ups at the front of the bus loop of WAJ school on Main Street during the Autumn Affair from noon until 3 PM.

Dinners include a half chicken, baked potato, coleslaw and a roll for $15.

Contact any WAJ athlete for tickets or call Mike Pellettier at 518-734-3400 ext1170 to order tickets by September 29th.

The Girl’s varsity basketball team will play their first sectional game today at home vs Richfield Springs. Game starts at 1:00. Let’s fill the stands and show them our support! There is a small cost of admission to the game.

The Booster Club is raffling off one of Jake Lacombe’s hand crafted wooden flags. The flags measure approximately 40”x20”, are made from solid pine, and are hand painted. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each and we will only be selling 100 tickets. Drawing will be held on December 21st so you will receive it before Christmas. Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing some tickets. All proceeds will go to The WAJ Booster Club.

Hello Warrior parents. The Booster Club will be having a meeting this Monday at 4:00 pm in the elementary art room. We will be discussing the future of the concession stand, Minekill summer soccer program and scholarships, the need for increased parent involvement, fundraising, the page, and the Varsity sports banquet. Congratulations to Joe Lane and Brian VanValin on qualifying to Vex Robotics Tower Takeover State Championships in Syracuse. After going through 10 qualification rounds they qualified 11th out of 35 teams. Their robot did well but got knocked out in the quarter finals. They’ve had a great run the last few years. Go Warriors!!

A HUGE shout out to these amazing young women. You played your hearts out, with integrity, respect and passion the entire season. You are wonderful examples of sportsmanship, dedication and hardwork. It's an amazing thing to be UNDEFEATED and WIN the LEAGUE in regular season after not having a JV team since 2013 or a girls team since 2016-2017. You may have lost last night by one but you have WON so much more from your entire season. Keep working hard and great things will come.
