For several years now the underground scene in Gary In
has known Yoson to be affiliated with the underground hip-hop super
group T.A.L.A (To All Loyal Affiliates) and the up and coming independent
group Block Royal. Some might not know that he is a pretty well
established solo artist! while interveiwing this young man, he took
the liberty of freestyling for me and the first word to pop into my
head was futuristic. his lyrics were other-worldly and razor sharp to
precision, I must say that he captured my attention with relative
ease. In the background during this interveiw, a D.V.D was playing
that featured him and others MC's rocking the crowd at a local
open-mic in Chicago. once Yoson blessed the mic, line after line
audience members would drop their jaws in amazment or gasp at the
young man hailing from the home of the world greatest entertainer,
Michael Jackson. " I write day in and day out, no matter what im going through, or my
mood. I write constantly and since i've been studying
more aspects of the visual arts
it's sparked a new intrest" said Yoson. Yoson believes the key to his seccess is being able to diversify and
adapt to any situation, this is probably due to the fact that he has
been raised in so many different places Miami Fl, Hollywood Ca, Gary
In, to name a few and in the process he has picked up alot of tricks
that he has incorperated into his music. He also credits his success
to the fact that he was influenced by three well respected men, who
taught him lessons that range from street life, education, religion and
culture. Because he is a well rounded young man it has all helped him
to transform into a well-rounded MC. "One of my main strengths as a MC
is the ability to get my point across and paint a very vivid picture
with words" said Yoson and at the young age of 26 Yoson is well on his
way to being one one the midwest biggest recording
