Essential Wellness San Francisco
A place to learn and talk about essential oils. My journey with essential oils began a few years ago when my friend, a naturopath, introduced me to them.
At first I was intrigued but pretty much limited my use of them to things that smelled good or had pretty obvious benefits (oregano for skin tags for instance). But slowly I started experimenting and started to find a lot of truth in the statement, "There's an oil for that!" Now essential oils are my go to when I am looking to boost my body's ability to help itself.
At Tuesday's oils workshop we had a great time doing some mix and match with different oils. My favorite? Frankincense with anything. :)
After Tuesday's workshop two of us went out for a drink and ran into a young guy who instantly recognized my doTerra box and struck up a conversation about how much he loves oils for aromatherapy and how this has taken him into an exploration of scents and perfumes. Getting excited for Wednesday's workshop! We are going to focus on 101 "tried and tested" uses for Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint. Yay! Check the events section to RSVP. Or message me for an invitation.
A quick peppermint one-drop-only rub-between-my-hands and put on the back of my neck is a great pre-coffee kick start to my day! Try it (but know that it's really tingly).
I love using vetiver at night to help me sleep. I put it on the bottoms of my feet and then put on warm, cozy socks. Better than a glass of warm milk! Also, a little lavender on the back of the neck and a drop on my pillow is really relaxing.

Spoke with a naturopath friend today and she reminded me that topical use of citrus based oils should be done with care if you are in the sun. Apparently they can make your skin photo sensitive.Something to think about now that the weather is so nice!
