Faced one of the toughest Dalton teams ever tonight. Their play was only outshined by their class and character. Best of luck to them on the remainder of their season. 7-1 is a tough loss to suffer, however we suffer it together and it will make us stronger.

We are so proud to let everyone know that Cristian Barrientos has been named the Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year. He is the first ever for Fort Payne. He is now in the running for the National Gatorade Player of the Year.

Here it is. It’s fire and we can’t wait to get them.

The season has come to an end and the banquet is over. It was an amazing year and one none of us will ever forget. Thank you to all who supported us this season and to all the parents who allowed us to be a part of your child’s high school journey. Can’t end the year without giving a special thank you to my wife Delena Owen Cornelius for putting up with all my personalities during this season as well as Tonya Shanklin and Mary Farmer for dealing with their husbands as well 😂😂. Without the support of everyone this season would not have happened.

State Championship Shirts are on sale as of yesterday. We will continue taking orders till next Thursday. They are $20 each and you can place your order by reaching out to one of the soccer players on any of the Fort Payne teams from this year. They will be delivered to you as soon as they come back in. Thank you in advance for helping support the men’s soccer program.

What a season it’s been. So freaking proud of this team. It has been a historical season. Defiantly one for the record books. Gonna get trashed over this but record speaks for it self. Probably the best team ever. Undefeated in the State of Alabama. The win today was icing on the cake. What a game.
Can’t say enough about these boys. So proud of them and the work they put in this year. If you see any of them out on the street please congratulate them. Well deserved boys. Fort Payne Wildcats 2023 6A State Champions.

We didn’t get the win today like we had hoped but thank you to everyone who came out supported these fine young men.
Let me fill you in on this team just a little. I have had the pleasure of helping coach some really amazing and talented teams over the last 14 years at Fort Payne. These boys right here are going down in history in my books. They have become the most improved team I have ever had the pleasure of helping coach. See these boys were just not the quality players of years past with loads of talent. That didn’t stop them from from fighting each and every game and by doing that they gained the talent and attitude of champion teams we have had in the past. They never quit training and getting better with each game. They scrapped all the way to the end and became another great Fort Payne Soccer team. They finish the season 17-3-3 and in my books they are champions and I couldn’t be any more proud of them.
NEVER count us out. We just reload and run it again. See y’all at State next. Go Wildcats.

Scroll till you find the day you are wanting to buy ticket for and make sure it’s Soccer. They are a one day ticket for all the games that day. Tickets are $10 plus what ever Go Fan charges. Not sure if there is a parking fee or not.

We will be playing in the State 6A semi-finals at 11:00 on 5/7 at John Hunt Park in Huntsville. The ONLY way to LIVE stream will be with subscription to NFHS on line. This info is in case I miss one of the people who are tagging these games offering the ability to watch live.

Another big win tonight. 1-0 over Randolph. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. We have battled all year for this and it’s finally here. Road to state. Final 4. We will play Homewood Friday at 11 in Huntsville Semi Final game. Hope to see everyone there.
