A beautiful blanket for a beautiful baby. His mummy says he’s already learning his ABC by lying on this soft crocheted baby blanket.

Not a baby blanket! I’ve just finished making this for a friend. It’s taken me over a year because I had to virtually rewrite the pattern! I’m proud of the achievement as it’s been so difficult! I used the wonderful Drops, baby alpaca and silk yarn, that has been a favourite of mine for years. Sadly, it has now been deleted.

This gorgeous fidget mat was a commission. I was delighted to create a cat, a moving spider and flowers, together with a ‘named’ caterpillar. It was ready in time for Christmas. I have some pre-made fidget mats and accessories if anyone needs a last minute present for someone suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia. Please PM me.

My friend chose a wonderfully soft baby merino for this beautiful blanket. I love all the safari animals around it. It was a real pleasure to make and baby will be warm and cosy.

Wanted to add variety to my fidget blankets. This one has plenty of features: beads to twiddle, zips to pull, tassels to fiddle with, buttons and loops to undo. It can obviously be varied to make it suitable for your relative/friend’s needs. Please contact me if interested.

Another commission. I was given a free rein with this fidget blanket and decided to create a garden scene. The bow around the kite unties and the tail (which has the new owner's name on it as she is in a care home) moves. The rays from the cloud are loose and the 'pearls' in the cloud also move and the cloud opens and closes with an easy press stud. The butterflies all move and the flowers have many nooks and crannies that can be fiddled with, with one set containing buttons and beads.

A friend asked me to make her mum (who is in a care home) a bed jacket. The vintage pattern we chose needed several adjustments to create this bed jacket - but her mum was so happy with the result! Although it is hand wash only - the baby alpaca yarn is soft in her fragile skin.

This hot water bottle cover was crocheted in the same yarn as the hat below! The fabulously warm, snuggly baby alpaca.

A friend asked me to copy a hat that she had ‘lost’. Knitted in the softest baby alpaca - this was the result! She’s absolutely delighted!

Been a while since I posted. Yet another bespoke blanket - for a Swinglish baby... this fully reversible blanket took quite a long time to design and make- but was well worth the effort!
