73वा स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह : 73rd Independence Day was celebrated with unprecedented patriotic fervour amidst the august presence of distinguished guest from 5 Wing AFS Kalaikunda, parents and the members of vidyalaya family. The National flag was unfurled by Hon'ble Chief Guest of the celebration Gp Capt R R Tamhane, Station Commander 5 Wing AFS Kalaikunda. Students of our vidyalaya presented cultural programme and they presented hand made 'राखी' and 'शुभकामना पत्र " to the soldiers of Indian Air Force.

We are proud of Ms. Soumya Sharma a student of class VIII. She has bagged 1st position in District Level Badminton Tournament (U-15 Girls) organised by Midnapur Sports Development Academy. We wish you all the best Soumya, keep it up!.

केंद्रीय विद्यालय संगठन राष्ट्रीय एकता पर्व "एक भारत श्रेष्ट भारत २०१९-२० : Our students have proved "Excellence is not a skill it is an attitude" . They simply need true care and guidance. In the cluster level KVS Rashtriya Ekta Parv 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat -2019-20 our students have done their best and they have brought laurels to our vidyalaya. In this cluster level students of 8 KVs under Kharagpur cluster participated. Our students have bagged 1st position in International song (theme-Egypt), International song (theme-Egypt) , Kavya Paath (Junior) , 2nd position in Solo Instrumental, Quiz, English Debate and 3rd Position in National Song (Theme - Marathi), National Song (Theme - Maratha), Kavya Path (senior), English Elocution (Senior) and Hindi Debate. Sri Rakesh Verma, Principal, presented the certificates to the participants and blessed them on behalf of vidyalaya family. We are proud of our students and their parents.

Annual Academic Panel Inspection - 0n 16 July 2019 a galaxy of principals of Kolkata region, under the leadership of Hon'ble Dr. S. Bose, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, RO, Kolkata visited the vidyalaya and throughout the day they inspected the different ongoing activities in the school. Dr. Bose and his team members appreciated the vision and hard work of Sri Rakesh Kumar Verma and his team members, which has brought praiseworthy developments in every fields. This year school has achieved 100% result in CBSE AISSCE as well as AISSC.

Investiture Ceremony 2019 - The Investiture ceremony of the Student Council for the academic session 2019-20 was held during morning assembly on 10-07-2019. Principal Sri Rakesh Kumar Verma and other teachers presented the badges to the members of the student council and blessed them. Master Aman Choudhary administered the pledge.

Every child is gifted, they just unwrap their packages at different times, we are proud of Master Aniket Pal who has bagged 2nd position in 50th KVS National Sports Meet 2019 in the event U-19 Badminton(Boys) and brought laurels to vidyalaya. Its a proud moment for all of us, our student Miss Suranjana Pandit, has bagged 1st position in 50th KVS National Sports Meet in the event Yoga U-17. National Science Day - National Science Day is celebrated on February 28. Famous Indian scientist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman or CV Raman discovered the Raman Effect on this day in 1928. For his discovery, Sir CV Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. In honour of this discovery and as a mark of tribute to the scientist, National Science Day was marked for the first time on February 28, 1987. For the past 32 years, every 28 February has been celebrated as a remembrance of CV Raman's contribution to science and the Indian scientific community.

It is that time of the year again when many young friends among us will be appearing for board examinations and other entrance examinations. Last year during Pariksha Pe Charcha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with several students from across the country. This 29 January, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will again interact with a cross section of Students, Teachers and Parents.

We are calling upon Students, Teachers and Parents for another exciting edition of interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi – Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0!

The competition is only for students studying from classes 9 to 12, graduate and undergraduate college students, their parents and teachers.

Grandparents Day Celebration 2018- Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour them we celebrated Grandparents Day on 15th December 2018. Grandparents of primary section were invited in this function. A very traditional warm welcome was extended to them. Mrs. Aparna Srivastava graced the occasion as Chief guest. A number of cultural programmes were presented by the primary students. Our Principal Sri Rakesh Kumar Verma greeted the grandparents and thanked them for their contribution. Grandparents enjoyed a lot by actively participating in the different activities meant for their recreation. It was a day of celebration for the primary students as they were with their best friend.... their grandparents.
