Today we visited Zulu Nyala for a safari.

Today I visited DumaZulu Cultural Village.

We arrived in Richard’s Bay this morning. It was a beautiful sail into the bay and then we docked at a coal distribution point. Later we visited the DumaZulu Cultural Village. I will post those photos in a little while. Call me at (754) 205-4616 to book your next cruise. 😊

Photo dump. Today we visited a local market, botanical park, and a fort. We saw spices, nuts, fish, and veggies at the market. There were several wedding parties taking photographs in the botanical gardens. There are also many bats in the trees there. 🦇 Finally, pictures of the sail away under the Maputo bridge.

We are in Durban, South Africa today. The excursion I chose visited the Botanical Gardens and City Tour.

This evening my husband and I had the privilege of dining with Brandon, the Food and Beverage Manager, in Compass Rose on the Regent Seven Seas Voyager. Brandon was also on the Navigator last year when we cruised the Amazon. It was so interesting to hear about the logistics involved with provisioning the ship.

I highly recommend the Penguin Island Cruise tour with Raggy Charters. Jake, the owner of Raggy Charters, is also a naturalist and his been in this business for over 25 years. He helps out with local ecological projects in his free time.
