Sadia Covert for Judge - 18th Judicial Circuit
Sadia Covert is running for Circuit Court Judge in Subcircuit 2 of the 18th Judicial Circuit
After a long primary election cycle, it looks like Team Covert fell short. Congratulations to Judge Jennifer Barron on a well-fought victory.
Even though we fell short, we feel good about the campaign we ran. We knew we were running an uphill battle in this race, but we ran a positive campaign that focused on the right issues and qualifications. Thanks to our voters, volunteers, PCs, friends, and family who were so generous with their time and energy. Thanks to the effort of so many, we were able to make this a race we can be proud of.
Iโm looking forward to paying it forward and helping my fellow Democrats in their campaigns in the General Election in November. I understand how hard campaign organizing is, and I canโt wait to just be another body in helping others in their pursuit of public service.

Walking with friends is better than walking alone! Thank you to my fellow County Board member Sheila Rutledge and Winfield Township Democrats Chair Lynn Casey-Maher for canvassing with me today!
I'm honored to receive the endorsement from the American Middle East Voters Alliance.
I ran as a first-time candidate for the DuPage County Board in 2018 and won by a slim margin. I ran for re-election in 2022 and was honored to be re-elected by the constituents.
I'm now asking for your support again as I run for Circuit Court Judge in the Democratic Primary. We're just 8 short days away from the election on March 19, and I hope I can earn your vote.
I love canvassing with my husband!
Team Covert walked with Judge John Anderson in the St. Patrick's Day Parade today in Naperville! We had a lot of fun walking with our fellow Democrats and meeting the voters.
Wonderful day canvassing with these awesome ladies last week! Thank you to all the wonderful PCs who have helped me!
Thank you to the IAPA and NIAMA for their endorsements and support!
Thank you for your endorsement and support. ๐
As a young woman of color, Sadia Covert understands the responsibility of representing something more than just herself. DuPage County has never had an elected Asian-American or Muslim-American Circuit Court Judge, and it's time we did.
On the bench, Sadia will work to ensure that rulings are made fairly, without prejudicial bias, and people of color feel seen and heard in the courtroom.
DuPage needs a diverse bench that more accurately reflects the diversity in our communities, and electing Sadia Covert as Judge is a necessary first step towards progress.
On March 19th, vote Sadia Covert for Judge ๐ฉ๐ฝโโ๏ธ

I was humbled to win my first election in 2018, defeating my Republican opponents in a tight race. I was honored when the voters decided to trust me again, re-electing me to my position in 2022 in another tight race.
I am the only candidate in this race that has been elected and proven that I have what it takes to defeat the Republicans in a General Election. I am proud of the campaigns I have run, and I hope I can earn your vote on or before March 19 in the Democratic Primary.
In November of 2022, a paper I wrote on the retrieval of removed children from foreign countries was published in the DCBA Brief. Being recognized for my research and compiling of this paper was a rewarding and humbling experience.
Happy Presidents' Day from Team Covert!
Presidents' Day was first established in 1885 in honor of President George Washington's birthday. This year would be President Washington's 282nd birthday!
Happy Valentine's Day from Team Covert!
I'm proud to be a founding partner of my law firm. Through my career with my firm, I have developed a diverse portfolio of legal experience, including foreclosure defense, criminal defense, family law, business transactions, and real estate.
I was a recipient of a Barack Obama Presidential Service Award in 2016 for my civic service in the Greater Naperville Area. This was as a private citizen, before I was even elected to the DuPage County Board in 2018.
We need judges who care enough to be engaged with their community and understand the necessity of meeting their constituents where they're at.
As a private citizen, I used my legal experience to co-author an amendment to the Illinois Hate Crime Law. My amendment made it easier to identify hate crimes for more accurate data on hate crime within the state. This was important to me because if hate crime is underreported, steps will not be taking to combat it.
I spoke at the United Nations 62nd Commission on the Status of Women in March of 2018. Speaking on Women's Rights at such an important panel was a huge honor.
Early voting starts today! Remember, I am #3 on the ballot.
