Mosney Beauty Salon
The Mosney Beauty Salon was started by Yetunde Awosanya, a woman living in direct provision, to provide pampering & beauty classes to residents in Mosney.
This is the page for the beauty salon in the Mosney direct provision centre in Ireland. This year, Yetunde Fashola has been setting up the salon in order to pampers those living in the centre who are in need of some positivity, or just feel like getting all dolled up! Yetunde also uses her education as a make-up artist to train those who are passionate about make-up artistry within the centre. Thi

Yesterday you all did something amazing - you got the Mosney Salon over the GoFundMe goal! The opening in September and the beginning of makeup classes in the centre will go ahead as planned thanks to all of the generous donors and supporters who have contributed, shared information, and offered encouragement.
This is a picture to give you an idea of the positivity and happiness you are helping Yetunde to spread to more people in direct provision.
For now the GoFundMe remains open as further donations will help the salon continue to run in the months to come (e.g. replacing makeup as it runs out) while we apply for charity status and official sponsorship from companies. And there are still lots of other ways to help if you are interested! Volunteer makeup artists and/or photographers in particular are much needed for some plans Yetunde has in the works.
Stay tuned to get updates about our opening and the classes.
Thanks again!
Yetunde ready to be photographed for The Independent. Their piece on the salon will be published soon! The Irish Times will also be covering Yetunde's work. Get ready to read!!!

Thank you so so much to everyone who is donating to make this possible. All donors will be invited to an opening party next month where you can see where your funds are going!
