When people talk about Dancehall they mainly talk about the 90's as the Golden era but it's all a matter of perspective, as a student of this musical genre who grew up with a family always debating about which era was the best for reggae music and ultimately dancehall I can say the 80's are a forgotten era that built the foundation for a lot of the names that are considered legends now I did a little mix of some of the 80's and early 90's legends, if you don't agree, healthy debate is good @ me enit lol
Dancehall Kings 80s - Early 90's After the Coronation of the King in the UK, we said (jokingly) that the "only Kings we recognise are the Kings Of The Dancehall)and stated the kings of the era's which of course is always up for debat

I kno some ppl gna get in their feelings whe they read this but.. am I the only one not feeling the Jay Z album? Trust ne I get the sentiment and meaning but I didn't wheel not 1 song! And as much as I like to see that Sister Nancy is eating, there's many other tracks in reggae u can sample apart from Bam Bam especially when most super high profile rappers have done it to death....
