📣 The Patric Young SCI Financial Aid Fund is open and accepting applications! Grant recipients will receive $1,000 to help offset out-of-pocket expenses associated with transportation, housing, utilities, nutritional needs, home adaptations, and adaptive devices not covered by insurance.

We are honored to be able to give back to a program that greatly impacted Patric and supports hundreds of people each year in Jacksonville. The Patric Young Foundation continues to impact the community and individuals with SCI and other life altering injuries through programs that support independence. Thank you Brooks Rehabilitation for being a partner and embracing our vision and allowing us to provide this vehicle which creates a better patient experience and will ensure Driver Rehabilitation can continue for years to come for our community.
Patric Young Foundation donates $25K to Brooks Rehab for new vehicle to help teach patients to drive Young, a former Brooks patient, said the much-needed replacement car will help hundreds of patients with cognitive and physical injuries learn to drive.

“The other day I was asked ‘What has the game of basketball taught you about life?’
The biggest takeaway for me was this simple statement.
There is no insignificant moment in a game of basketball just as there is no insignificant moment or season in life.
Often times people get caught up in the last play of a game, believing that was the only thing that determined the outcome. We all know there were many plays and moments that affected the entirety of the game but we choose to focus on the 'most important moment'. Just as in life we become disillusioned believing a person found success without struggle, help, tears, and rejection."
