Deidre lived in Italy as a teenager, and she always knew that when she met the perfect person, she would go back to Sorano to be married. It was her dream come true to travel to Tuscany and bring her closest family and friends to witness her marriage to Jeremy, the person she loves so deeply.
This wedding was unique to us in more ways than one; Shae took part in the day as a member of the wedding party and a performer at the reception while Raj captured the breathtaking day. We had so much fun travelling alongside our friends, Liz, from Blushed Beaute and talented photographer, Kelly.

“Your life is not the grandiose statements, it is just the sum total of all the little things that you chose to do next.” - Chris Hadfield.
When I became an entrepreneur 18 years ago, one of the things that I really loved was the control it gave me. Control on when to work, what to work on, and most importantly who I chose to spend my time with. It turns out that control does not have unlimited reach, and for the first time in 18 years I have been forced to do nothing and just wait.
I feel for our couples and know what you must be going through. Eileen and I (and the Village) did five rounds of IVF to get our little girl, Londyn Avaya, so I know what it is like to get super excited for something only to be told to wait, or that it might not happen. I learned a lot about control and patience during those 8 years.
I feel for the vendors we are lucky enough to work beside and call our friends. I remember the excitement and joy I felt the day we got approved for a $30,000 loan to start our business… and I also remember the uncertainty and fear that immediately followed. It is like we have been thrust back into that moment, but we got through it before and we will get through it again.
When I had my “Jerry Maguire Free Falling” moment in 2003, I could not have dreamed of what this business was going to give me. My job is to be surrounded by people who are experiencing some of the happiest moments of their lives, that’s pretty cool. I have been able to see the World, weddings in Italy, Scotland, Iceland, Greece… projects in Sweden, Japan, Singapore and India. But most importantly, I have met amazing people. People that have become part of my Village.
This business would not exist without those two elements, the vendors who promote us and the couples that choose us. To both of you, thank you, and we will see you soon.

Rain on your wedding day is said to be good luck as it signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! We can thank Hindu traditions for this belief.
The rain held out just long enough for Brittany + Rajan to have the outdoor ceremony they had been dreaming of. But as junior high sweethearts we don't think they needed the luck, its clear to see their love is made to last.

Elizabeth and Ronnie had initially planned to elope for their big day, but decided they wanted to have a big wedding after all. While some weddings take months, even years to plan, these two were able to pull the whole event together in just a few short weeks, and it was nothing short of stunning!
Their wedding party was so much fun to work with. It was truly a beautiful day! It was also our first time filming at the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel, which was such a great venue.

We finished our 2017 Wedding Season this past weekend in Smoky Lake with Maria and Ryan, and though it was nearly -40C outside, the warmth of so many friends and family made you barely notice.
It was a special wedding for us because Maria worked with us many years ago, and we felt honoured that her and Ryan chose us to be their cinematographers... it was so wonderful to watch a member of the A Love Story family get married.
You have to wait until the 4:05 mark to see our favorite part of this same day edit.

We are so lucky to incorporate two of our passions, travel and storytelling into our jobs. Last September we filmed an elopement in Iceland and this September we were fortunate enough to travel to the Isle of Skye in Scotland.

You may think that having both wedding photos and a video are overkill, or may not want to prioritize videography in your budget, but trust us—you'll want to hire a wedding videographer.
Is Hiring a Wedding Videographer a Must or a Maybe? In short—it's definitely a must.

We put together this highlight film of some of our favorite weddings over the past few years to kick off Bridal Fantasy's Fashion Show.
Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves when we consider how lucky we are to film one of the most special days in our couples' journeys... (and sometimes we need to grab some tissues)... Reliving the moments in this film brought back some great memories.
In addition to our beautiful couples, we get to collaborate with amazing vendors who are passionate and thoughtful about their craft. Some of our most treasured relationships have come into our lives through this business, it is not possible to express the extent of our gratitude.

Zoe and Derek were so worried about the weather as it snowed a few days before and right after the wedding too. They could not have had a more glorious day. The sun was out and the light was spectacular, the fall colours were everything Zoe dreamt of for her big day.
