Keep thinking about water for Lake Mead.
1075.38 was the level reached on March 31, 2024. Well below our goal, but well above 1046.06 on March 31, 2023 and 1061.56 on March 31, 2022.
Over two years of decline have been reversed. March 31, 2021 level was 1084.47. We are not yet back to that.

Lake Mead has risen by SEVEN FEET since start of 2024 and is now on cusp of not being in drought...but experts say America's largest reservoir will drop by 19 feet later this year America's largest reservoir is showing signs of recovery after being plagued by a water shortage over the past few years. But projections forecast Lake Mead will see another decline.

Today, Lake Mead is about 1.2 feet lower than this date in 2021. We're making progress, but a long way to go.

Lake Powell is rising more than a foot a day. But megadrought’s effects will still be felt. The lake is forecast to rise 70 to 71 feet, in all, by the fall.

Lake Mead’s water level increase could continue through May with additional Lake Powell water being released Encouraging news continues to flow about water levels at Lake Mead. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has announced that increased releases from Lake Powell will continue through the end of May.
