Happy trails to you. A little chilly this morning, but Spring is just around the corner.
Always take the time to enjoy a little sunshine, blue skies and grassy fields.
Spring is springing and the water is starting to come down. We love this time of year.
You lookin’ at me?
We are looking forward to Spring and a new batch of locals milling about.

The Ogden Valley is a crossroads for dozens of species along their migratory paths. We have been working for 25 years to preserve the open spaces, watersheds and natural habitats that support all these wonderful creatures as they pass through.
A “Once and Forever” opportunity. With your generous help, we have been able to protect an iconic 1,050 acre property which was once home to the Abbey of Our Lady of the Holy Trinity. This Trappist monastery graced the southern end of Ogden Valley as a symbol of spiritual strength, human industriousness, and communal cooperation.
While the legacy of the Monks will live on in our hearts and memories, we have now preserved these fields and vistas forever.
Here in the Ogden Valley, beauty comes in many forms.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn”.
Here in the Ogden Valley, we believe we have some of the best shows nature has to offer.
As Winter hangs on a little longer, Spring inevitably begins to show signs of returning. This is just one more reason we love the transition of seasons here in our beautiful Ogden Valley.
For 25 years our goal has been to conserve the open spaces, watersheds and natural habitats of the Ogden Valley for the benefit of our communities and future generations. Clean water, clean air, wildlife and plant habitats, local farms, working forests, and scenic beauty. Understanding the benefits of land conservation; and enjoying the quality of life maintained by these efforts.

Whelp, another year has passed under the bridge. Wishing you Happy New Year full of positive vibes, happy experiences and prosperous endeavors.
From our little group here at Ogden Valley Land Trust, we wish you a glorious, happy, sparkly, and joyful holiday. Peace.
What’s your favorite part of the Holiday Season? Among the things we love is a crisp blue sky, a frosty clear stream, and the way the light casts shadows on the sparkly snow. Magical. 🪄✨
Winter officially begins tomorrow. ❄️ ❄️ For most of us it already feels like winter and we welcome it. The changing seasons are just one of the reasons we love it so much here in Ogden Valley. ☃️🏔️
With a winter storm on the horizon, we would like to take a minute to celebrate the end of another beautiful day in the Ogden Valley.
We like to spend our days chasing rainbows.

The beauty is all around us. We are so grateful to live in this amazing Ogden Valley and appreciate all the little details.
This past July, we hosted our largest fundraiser of the year at the beautiful Huntsville Monastery. The Monastery represents 1,050 acres that we were able to protect in partnership with accredited land trust Summit Land Conservancy.
It was a successful event on a beautiful evening, headlined by classical pianist Hunter Noack, In a Landscape: Classical Music in the Wild. While Hunter plays, guests wear wireless headphones and are able to explore the landscape, wander through the surrounding meadows and wooded areas on this stunning property.
We are most grateful to , , and our generous sponsors: Snowbasin, America First Credit Union, Kühl, Monastery Landowner Bill White, Weber County Tourism Works, Cardon Farms, Compass Rose Lodge, Henderson Family Trust, Langford Farm, Kyrgies, Mountain Luxury Real Estate and Lodging, Coldwell Banker Realty, Ashlie Roe Team Crosscountry Mortgage, Bank of Utah, Roosters Brewing Co. Zions Bank, Two Rivers Ranch, Janet Wampler and Manuel Prieto.

Huntsville Monastery, the crown jewel of Ogden Valley, was established in 1947 by 32 monks who were mostly veterans of World War II. At the height of its operation in the 1960s, 84 monks and novices were active in farming, ranching, beekeeping and used agricultural production as a form of prayer and devotion.
Known as the Abbey of Our Lady of the Holy Trinity, the Monastery was purchased in 2016 by Huntsville local Bill White, to save the land as open space. The land remains an active agricultural operation and significant wildlife habitat.
For 25 years, Ogden Valley Land Trust has worked with landowners to create voluntary conservation easements to preserve their property while retaining ownership. The trust currently holds conservation easements on several thousand pristine acres within Ogden Valley and the surrounding area.
