Big News:
I started Niadele from what felt like an angel nudge. I was having skin issues that were really causing me pain and taking away my confidence, so I began the journey into natural skincare and product making in 2013.
In 2015 through the help of beautiful friends and family I mustered the courage to take this passion of making products to the next phase which was starting a small business. I can't thank you all enough for believing in me and coming alongside me as I figured out how to invent a product from scratch, build and share my story and allow me to help you with your skin and natural beauty needs!
When I started Niadele I had small babies and it was a breath of fresh air to have a methodical process to follow in product making- one step at a time, one foot in front of the other. It really helped me grow as a person and as a mother. It really grounded me having this process.
These past several months and during the pandemic, I really felt my heart change and become clear about what I wanted in this new season I was in. I felt a desire to give more of myself to my daughters, my husband and my health. So the courage and the angel nudge that helped me start Niadele is also the guiding strength helping me to gracefully close and wrap up this season.
I cannot thank you enough for how you have come alongside and cheered me on! I want to thank you from the depths of my heart! Thank you!!!

Well I did it again, I'm sure you can relate. I was letting the voices in my head dictate how I perceive the various roles and hats I wear in my life. I was wildly enough believing those voices and siding with their critical take on me.

I remembered again today the incredible gift we are given in this life is that we get to decide!

We get to decide what matters to us in our parenting, work life, small business life. We get to decide what success is each day. Some days are going to be chaotic and we are going to be pulled in many directions. We can just know that as long as we keep coming back to ourselves and putting our own oxygen mask back on and reassessing the needs of our hearts as we lovingly decide what we want our one, precious life to look like.
The value of being still and listening simply increases with every day I live on this earth! There is so much goodness here, there is help and support.
This is our one precious life. It's time to get reaquainted with YOU. What do you need? Listen to your bodies cues💜🙏
I love the idea that God is the master painter and with joy places the paints and the paint brushes in our hands and says' " I believe in you, go for it!

Hi beautiful friends!

Our family just did a short getaway that was so good for the soul!

I wanted to let you know that this summer Niadele is taking a sabbatical, a little time to rest, reflect, restore and be with my family 💖

I will have the Etsy shop open for the month of May and will be excited to take orders that month! I then plan to put the shop on vacation mode while my girls are on summer break.

I'm so grateful for each of you and how our stories have intertwined! Thank you for your amazing support of Niadele!

What does your healing path look like?

Taking steps to restoration is the process of growing roots and wings.

A few weeks ago I had a dream that a beautiful black horse was standing over me. I could hear it's powerful breath and feel it's larger than life presence. I was scared, I closed my eyes on the ground and acted as if I couldn't see it.
It gently caressed my face(I could feel it's mouth and nose going across my face) and I could feel it's gentle nudge. It wanted me to ride. I was terrified. I tend to travel on the safest path and I assess risk constantly.
I then woke up trying to figure out what this dream meant.
After this year so many of us are weary and maybe it's time for us to hear, heal and recover.

I messaged my friend to see if she could help me interpret my dream and she said, I think I know what this means. She had just created this beautiful sticker for her Etsy shop Sewstuckonyou 💖 but hadn't shared it yet...a black horse with a girl riding it and on the sticker it read: Show Up, Look Up and Never give Up.
I can't tell you how much I needed that message. I also have since went to a nutritionist and have found a new routine to support the healing journey that I know I'm being called too!
I wanted to share my joy with you because I feel as though this was God's way of helping me back up on the horse, empowering me and guiding me to a beautiful place of healing, rest and recovery.

Today was a good day!
Vivi and I worked side by side. We felt like artist friends in a shared workshop where I made a fresh batch of Rosewood Lip balm and Vivi painted a picture of the solar system!

We then embraced spending some time together on the trail!

We talked and talked along the path, this girl came up with the most beautiful questions!
At one point she said: What would you ask God if you could ask anything?

We had a few valley type days and this was a lovely mountain top day so I'm soaking that in and reminding myself that we don't stay for long in the valleys, we just pass through.

I'm back to the bench working on three recipes this am!

I'm learning so much right now and making some tweaks and edits to my business and my work flow. Change can feel so scary, even good change can make you feel like you are losing your footing.

Things I'm telling myself today.
Let's dive hardcore into Laura's life because I'm Laura! It can be so easy for me to get off track emotionally just by putting myself down by comparing my journey with someone else's.
I took a walk in the woods early today and was stunned at how alive and beautiful the path was. It made me feel connected to my life again. And remember that: Oh, this is my path!

I'm also reminding myself on this path that I can do it! I can be strong and move forward in my life through all the FEELS! They are allowed to be there while I take the next right step.

The sun came out today!!! It's been a hard February, the darkness had me down for a moment there💜 I couldn't find the reins and was feeling down and out of the driver's seat. But today there is literal sunshine and internal sunshine and I have to pause and say thank you!!!

I'm also letting people support me on my journey this week. I'm getting help with Niadele! Today .a.strickland was my spreadsheet and organizational queen!! I also have a friend coming over to help me package product this week.
I have this sense that I can move forward again 😂✨💗 Shout out to for an amazing yoga session over zoom!
