Downtempo, Electro-Conscious, Worldfolk: HoneyCircuit's debut album weaves a mix of electronic beats, live instrumentation and ethereal vocals to produce a sound that has been compared to a "tribal Portishead". Eric Freeman (Kalimba Sound System) and Kara Trott (Fluttr Effect) fuse a symphony of Djun Djun, Guitar, (Shawn Starkweather) Kalimba, Marimba, and Flute violin (Chris Baum) cascading over
a backdrop of electronic beats. Laced with spirited vocals, this music is truly a journey for the mind and soul. Eric Freeman (Kalimba Sound System) and Kara Trott (Fluttr Effect) formed Honeycircuit in 2010. Since then, we have recorded several full length albums, and are currently back in the studio to give a shot at a 3rd album. We play primarily underground venues and festivals, including Burning Man decompression parties, Firefly Festival, and New York Faerie Festival. Since October 2012, we have worked with TinderBox Promotions, including extensive US radio/tv campaigns and have been featured on (Sonic Bids) iRadio 104 Los Angeles, CA., Celtica Radio, Radio UnderGround Detroit, Featured Artist on Sonic Eclectic Magazine - Music Videos (Mar-Jun '13) Skope Radio and TV (Mar-Jun '13) UnderWorldMixradio.com (Dec-Mar '12), Rumour Control Featured Artist, and Radio Crystal Blue along with artists such as; Regina Spektor and Tori Amos.
