Last month, Adriel had the opportunity to speak with the youth of Findlay First Church of the Nazarene during its Vacation Bible Adventure, about the importance of raising awareness for foster care and adoption!

Each child had the opportunity to learn what foster care is like for foster children. We are so glad we were able to share the message of Adriel with the church!

The Leahy family lives in Napoleon, Ohio and have been Adriel Foster Parents for over a decade! Over the past 10 years, Tara and Rex have helped a multitude of foster children. They especially do a wonderful job connecting with the biological parents of the children placed with them, and also work well with teenagers, foster children who have medical needs, and children of all ages. They are a huge asset to Adriel and their community!

Josh Roehm is one of Adriel's newest foster parents! Please join us in welcoming Josh and his daughter to the Adriel family!

Josh is a mental health caseworker for Mental Health Services of Clark and Madison County.

The Family Preservation Specialist will work with the entire family with the goal of maintaining the family while providing tools and techniques for building and maintaining relationships. Requirements for this position include: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

The Teaching-Family Association has provided Adriel with a strong foundation to build upon. TFA and the Teaching-Family Model are at the core of our work in foster care.

But what is the Teaching-Family Model?

The Teaching-Family Model, or TFM, is a philosophy rooted in the priority of maintaining therapeutic relationships with caregivers when carrying out support in family-style settings. TFA and Adriel acknowledge the importance of maintaining a strong bond between youth and adults within the foster care system.
