The Space Pirates of Rocquaine
They're the most westerly band in the Channel Islands We are the sum of our parts which is roughly - 2 parts rock, 1 part country, 3 parts folk and 6 parts rum.
We were born in a storm whilst the sea raged and the ale flowed in the public bar of The Imperial Hotel on Guernsey's west coast. We chose our name because it was ridiculous and only supposed to last for one gig. That was well over a decade ago and we now pride ourselves on always having the longest name on the bill. We are local folk meisters and songsmiths, equally happy in the back of a pokey p

Yep, what a crowd, so blown away with the mighty singalongs to our songs! EPIC gig, thanks to Marcel the sound technician, Regency Events ltd and the The Vintage Agricultural Show for inviting us to play. 😍😍
Thank you to The Space Pirates of Rocquainefor such a great set and to the crowd for getting their dancing shoes on and giving these homegrown folk heroes such a great reception! The music continues now with Underdog. The night is still young, pop down for a pint at The Vraiceater's Tavern 😍🍺

We reckon it'll be on, us pirates aren't put off by a few puffs of wind eh...fingers crossed ☠
Due to the high winds the beer tent is currently off-limits, with drinks being served outside only. A decision will be made at 6pm as to whether to open the tent for the scheduled meat draw and live music from The Space Pirates of Rocquaine & Underdog - The organisers have said that the wind is dropping and it's all looking positive folks, stand by for news in 1 hour!

We've got a fantastic Ale & Cider Festival lined up for you next week and the weather forecast is showing sunshine all the way! From Tuesday 13th to Sunday 18th June The Mermaid Tavern will be offering an array of ales and ciders from around the UK and Channel Islands PLUS a Champagne & wine bar.
Lunch served 12pm-5pm and dinner from 6pm-9pm.
