Don’t forget to check your registration status
Did you know that if you didn't fill out the census that went out at the beginning of this year your voter registration may be "Inactive" on the voter registration website? Not to worry. It is easy to check and easy to fix!
What does it mean to be "Inactive"?
If you don’t respond to the Annual Street List, you’ll be put on the inactive voter list.
If you are on the inactive voter list, you can still vote. Bring identification to your polling place. You must fill out an Affirmation of Current and Continuous Residence. This allows you to cast your ballot. You’ll be added to the active voter list.
If you do not vote in two consecutive federal elections while you’re inactive, you will no longer be registered to vote. You should register to vote again.

Every year, each city and town gathers resident information for an Annual Street List. This is also known as a city or town census. Your city or town will mail you a form. Fill it out, sign it and mail it back to confirm your address.
If you don’t respond to the Annual Street List, you will be put on the inactive voters list. Your local election office will mail you a notice. If you sign it and return it you will be removed from the inactive voters list.
You can also submit a new voter registration form or send proof of your address that includes your signature to your local election office.
Visit https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/ to submit a new voter registration form.

“The new high school is essential for providing a 21st century education. Failure to do so will not allow us to compete with neighboring towns in attracting and retaining families,”she said. “A new building will provide a safe and healthy learning environment, as well as being an economic development driver for our town.”

Message From Kate:
Hello East Longmeadow Residents! I am seeking election for the open seat on the East Longmeadow School Committee and would appreciate your vote on June 6th.
As a professional working mother/stepmother to four children all below the age of 10, and ranging from pre-k to grade 3, I am deeply invested in the quality of education available to all students within the East Longmeadow Schools. With the support of my family, I am seeking to serve our amazing community. My professional and educational background, combined with my community approach, and dedication to our town, gives me the confidence in asking you to entrust me to represent you on our school committee.
I am running for School Committee to offer my twenty plus years of educational experience as both a classroom teacher and administrative leader. My goals are to maintain and enhance the outstanding curriculum and instructional practices East Longmeadow is known for, strengthen district and school leadership, and support the social and emotional needs of our children.
I am looking forward to getting out and asking for your support and vote in the June 6th town election.
