Today's pair for are the Asian(Indian) & African(Bush) Elephant.
There are 3 official sub species of Asian elephant; Indian, Sri Lankan & Sumatran.
There are 2 extant species of African elephant; Bush & Forest.
Besides the obvious continental difference there are quite a few other drastic differences.
African elephants have much larger ears and are shaped very similar to their continent. Whereas Asian elephants have much smaller ears in the shape of India. African elephants ears reach up and over the neck, which does not occur in Asian elephants.
In general, African elephants have more ribs than the Asian species, though the number of ribs varies in individual animals. African elephants have up to 21 pairs, Asians up to 20.
All African elephants, male and female, have tusks – whereas only some male Asian elephants have tusks. African tusks are generally bigger. About 50% of female Asian elephants and a small percentage of males have small tusk like teeth known as tushes.
There is also a major difference in the trunk tip between the species. The African trunk has two distinct fingers which it uses to pick up and manipulate objects. The Asian elephant has only one ‘finger’. The Asian compensates for this by holding objects against the underside of the trunk and appears not to suffer from any lack of maneuverability.

Our Spiritual Story
I once had great plans to open a school where young and old could learn the fundamentals and importance of self love. This unfortunately was not the path the universe wished me to take. I have even tried to shut down this page numerous times with no success.
As I write this, in this moment of space and time, I realise perhaps it is meant for a greater purpose.
Perhaps it can still achieve what we planned for it on it’s conception.
I have learnt so much over the years and since this page was created so much more. I will attempt to share what knowledge I have gained in my brief life time and hopefully you will take something away from this page. As Abraham Hicks always says...
