A little work done on the face as well as the feet today.
I have named this creature Uriah and am working on his feet today. I've seen a few flakes of snow this morning! Yesterday was tee shirt weather today thick jumpers! Creative Easter Monday me thinks.
Working on a creepy looking bird at the moment, no bright colours for this one.
The Friday Art group are now producing work in the style of.... We select a different artist each week and make our own art trying some of the techniques used by other artists. It's a challenge but we are having fun and learning at the same time. We use social media to keep in touch and support eachother.

As our Friday art class has temporarily closed we have set ourselves a weekly postcard sized challenge.
Each taking a turn to choose three words and producing artwork of any medium with those three words in mind. My efforts are growing in number now, reflecting the lockdown weeks but most importantly this project has kept the group in touch with each other, taken our thoughts elsewhere and lifted spirits during difficult times.

A few of us artists have an exhibition at Matt and Jenny's coffee shop, 49 Mortimer Street for the next three weekends including Fridays. It runs alongside East Kent Open Houses and we are adding a splash of colour and a bit of interest as you enjoy the coffee and food served here. Hope to see you.

Friday art class... Something a bit different from me.
Last Wednesday was the first mosaic class I have taken for a while it was a lot of fun! Sarah then went on to do sketch booking so it was a busy morning. More this Wednesday... Come along. Pettman House, Herne Bay, (round the corner from Peters Produce). 10am-12noon upstairs,
but there is a lift.
Today's classes sketch booking with Sarah and mosaics with Pam , so nice to meet everyone we were kept very busy. Looking forward to next week see you then.

I must admit that my mosaic work has been on hold. I realise that I want more from it .......now that I have had so much fun with paint and mixed media I am experimenting with my own ceramics and textured backgrounds.
