I began creating jewelry while living in a sober house 10 years ago. The only creative thing I had ev I never knew that I loved beads.
My profile picture definitely shows an affinity for stringing beads at 2 years old that wouldn't emerge again until after the BIG 40! I never knew I could actually make anything! But, after making the deicision that I qualified for a mid-life "DO-OVER", I was able to give myself permission to explore activities outside of my comfort zone. I love African turquoise. I made this one with 2-3mm beads with 2mm sterling silver square beads. This is one of my new "Minimalist" line and is so visually interesting because of the tiny beads that were used to make it.

Teeny Tiny pearls. I finally took the plunge and ordered the 2mm pearl beads. I found out that the smaller the pearl, the more expensive it is! Over the holiday, I decided to join the "Minimalist" jewelry trend by making my wraps with 1.0mm leather and 2-3mm beads. My other wraps were made with 4-6mm beads and 1.5 mm leather. So, these are understated. They were a challenge to sew (that's why no one else on Etsy makes them), but I love a challenge. The results are amazingly intricate.
