What if I'm not ready to be a hero? What then?

They said my story needs to begin as a sad one...

One where I start out as broke and judged and alone. Only then a guide could appear who’d share a critical piece of information that could change everything!

To keep to the story I must first experience doubt and disbelief and resist the message. Only after my life gets truly worse may I finally reach out to the passing guide and ask to receive their help and wisdom.

I then would have my 'line in the sand' moment where I'd say “No More!”

This is the part where I'd commit to believing in myself and choose to act. I'd soon rise out of the ashes and transcend into an abundant and revered lifestyle and go on to change the world!

Ahh, 'The Hero’s Journey'. Lets face it, we all love it.
But is it a real story for you and me?

The thing is, in reality a hero has to be willing. A hero has to know that it's time to do something different and a hero has to know that the journey is for eternity. Each of us, no matter where we sit in the scheme of things has the option to choose just about anything we desire.

So what stops us?

Desire is simply knowing what we want and having the willingness to go get it. The problem is that, often all we can see in front of us are obstacles. The fact that someone else is ‘living our dream’ just confirms how hopeless we are, creating yet another obstacle for us to deal with.

A choice we must realize we have is that we don’t have to take this journey alone. We are not good at everything. We are not good by ourselves. Every moment we spend not focused on our dreams becomes a moment we spend focused on our doubts.

We must first find positive people that understand this; who will have our backs on this journey.

The supreme value of the guide in this story is that we are offered another perspective, often of a possibility that we cannot yet see shared from one who has travelled this same way before us.

Yes, I was also a guy in this story. It is very real. I had it tough and lost all my money and assets in a business collapse. I was alone, emotionally bleeding and struggling. I then noticed a guy who created his life using the internet. He had the skills I needed to get up and create the lifestyle I was looking for and, he was willing to train me.

But I wasn't ready to believe that it was possible for me...
I'd lost faith in good people.

It looked too easy or maybe it looked too hard but my pride told me "don’t do it! You can work it out yourself!"

After a time nothing in my life was improving. I was still broke, embarrassed and aware I was hiding from the world. But, I kept following this internet guy.

One day I’d finally had enough of just watching his growing success and said to myself "NO MORE!"

No more was I willing to suffer in the juices of my own head space. I required the resources of an expert to get myself out of this awful hole and it was time to trust somebody again.

I reached out and got connected. A loving community were immediately there to welcome me, listen to me and support me. This alone was life saving. These people gave me the strength and confidence to develop a new skillset which in turn has developed me!

I soon began to rise from the ruin of my life and become the man I knew I could be. I learned how to create for an abundant lifestyle that I now get to enjoy. Now my very being changes the world!

'Seems the hero's journey story is real and was always about people like you and me.!

I am grateful for choosing my 'guide' when i did. I am now the hero in my own life. Because I chose this I automatically became a kind of hero in other peoples lives as well... I became the invitation to something greater.

Any hero who pays it forward is a ‘Super Hero’ (but without the cape lol).
With a little guidance we all have the power to change the world.

“When my mentor shook his head I knew I was in trouble.
He was about to call me out. “You’re not choosing for your dreams and it’s tragic!”

How could’ve I been getting it so wrong for so long? I remember thinking. I’m as smart and as capable as anyone else. School grades don’t make the man and neither does getting some white collar job. That’s just not for me. I’m known for my courage and love of adventure. Most people seem to like me and my life is pretty good. So why did I feel like my life was going nowhere??!

The value of my mentor was simple. He could see things in me that I could not. He knew that I had passion and wanted more from this life. He knew that I was capable of leading and generating more for myself and he knew that if I chose to go for it I could have everything I ever dreamed of.

He could also see my number one obstacle. It was me. I was getting in my own way. He could see that I was aimless, frustrated and heavily influenced by my friends. He could see that I needed a hand…and a nudge in a new direction.

You see, just thinking that I could do anything is not the same as actually choosing and taking action.

My mentor does well for himself, but it wasn’t always this way for him either. He was paying it forward. He invited me to take a look at having my own business. To move from being an employee to becoming an entrepreneur. To create something for myself that would change and benefit the lives of many while offering me an abundant and flexible lifestyle that too few experience.

He wasn’t talking about a conventional shop front business. He was talking about the internet.

He introduced me into a community of people just like me. People who were looking for something more for their lives too and who were hungry to succeed. By collaborating and supporting one another. their skills and value soon became my skills and value and now this life is incredibly mine for the choosing. I now pay it forward and mentor anyone who has the courage to choose something greater for themselves, beyond just thinking about it.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP WASN'T FOR ME.

Back in 2007, I fooled myself into thinking I was an entrepreneur because it sounded cool and much better than working for someone else.

Then - shortly after starting my first business... I nearly quit.
A couple months in, I soon discovered entrepreneurship wasn't for the faint of heart.

At the time, I had a timid mind.
I was wildly expectacious.
A reluctant-action-taker.
Easily swayed and bothered.
A problem dweller.
Looking back - I see why starting my
first business was a serious wake up call for me.

Becoming a successful entrepreneur required me to hold a mirror up to all the limiting beliefs I was holding onto. And in the process, I quickly realized the game of business required much more courage and boldness than I predicted.

This was a moment where I decided to change.
I decided to get over my problems quicker than I dwell on them.
I decided to change my way of thinking the second a moment calls for it.
I decided to get a mentor and give up everything no matter what was being asked.

I started caring more about creating something beautiful, than potentially losing something beautiful.

So today, after years inside the trenches and working harder on myself than almost anything else in my life... ..I simply don't know any other way to live and prosper than to be entrepreneurial. It's in my blood. It's what I eat and breathe everyday.
And I'm committed to giving it my all... ...FOR YOU.

- Start or find a business that works for you.
- Take intense massive action daily.
- Learn from your mistakes.
- Become the entrepreneur you were destined to be.
