Dear everyone who's been with me since 2009,

Hi, I hope you having a wonderful day and that this new week in June is putting a wonderful spring in your step. What I'm about to tell you may come from a heavy heart but change is never something easy to choose.

Rocketrictic has reached it's end.

Now before you assume I'm removing myself completely from the internet and never painting another watercolour type piece again, I am not. My passion has always been type, graphic design and creating, which is why I'm currently living in England, pursuing my degree in Graphic Design Communications.

What I mean is that I no longer see myself identifying as Rocketrictic, which stemmed from a bored young girl wanting to create a cool livejournal blog name. A lot of Rocketrictic are reflections of my personal life. When this tumblr changed from Meuyskine to Rocketrictic, I was going through one of the biggest changes in young life. I channeled so much of it through my artwork.

Which is another reason why I am moving on from Rocketrictic, I'm on my way to a more serious career path. It just doesn't seem fit anymore.

It's been tough. I won't lie trying to keep Rocketrictic running after all the stolen artwork and zero support from my own home country. It definitely discouraged me to create less and not want to share any of my work. But we always need to keep going, always to look forward.

There's no quantity I can use to measure how grateful I am to all of you for sharing, supporting and fighting with me. Rocketrictic would've never been able to reach so many people if it weren't for your support. I owe so much to all of you.

None of artworks will be removed from the internet, as I don't think I can just take them away from everyone, they may be my work but ultimately, they don't always belong to me.

What's next then? I'm mainly focusing on university and trying to survive in London (so far doing good, could be better). My art will still be on society6 and DFTBA, so you can still buy prints of my work if you still want to support me regardless.

I am mostly active on my personal social medias, which I don't feel comfortable giving out to just about anyone, but if you feel like you want to follow me on those, do send me a personal message. I do have plans to create a Mei Lee outside of Rocketrictic blog where you can keep up with my more 'serious' work but I don't want to promise anyone anything. At most, my most public artwork/design place is my behance for now.

Without dragging on, I would like to thank you for loving the words I've created and painted. Thank you for the opportunities I've been given through Rocketrictic. Thank you for supporting the two limited runs of my calendar. Thank you for still buying my artwork.

I love and appreciate you. See you on the flipside.
