I know I haven’t posted on here in a minute... but just lettin ya’ll know the motto for 2021....
And there is WAY TOO MUCH negativity happening all over social media for me at the moment — which is why I have chosen to protect my my peace 🙏🏽.
I know it’s not just me feeling this way... If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, extremely tired, irritable.. it may be time to take a lil break from social media.
Now I’m not saying go crazy and delete everything 😹 I’m just saying... maybe shut off your notifications, move your social media apps to a different location on your phone so they’re not constantly in your face, leave your phone in a different room for a couple hours everyday, or choose one day a week where you don’t check social media at all!
Protect your peace — I promise you will feel lighter 😘.

If you’re like me and procrastinate on everything in life, taking the time to learn the skill of “being over-prepared” is not only necessary BUT will make your life SO much easier! 👏🏼.
We’re living in some pretty weird times right now... some of us are just going back to work after being off for 5 months and trying to find your new groove can not only be exhausting but stressful as well!
This is where being over-prepared is 🔑🔑🔑 because if you’re a procrastinator and trying to navigate a new routine.. overwhelm is your worst enemy!
Here are some of my tips and tricks to make your life/week easier as you ease back into balancing work and life and everything in between! 🤪.
1. Begin by looking at your week and determining how your are going to navigate it — what time you need to wake up on your work days, what times you need to wake up on your days off, if you have any appointments, etc.
2. Schedule in your workouts AND rest days — if you know you have a stupid early morning that you have to be at work, consider that your rest day! Don’t stress yourself out in trying to do “all the things”. Giving yourself grace is a major component when having a truly productive week!
3. Pick out your workout clothes for each day. Leggings, sports bra, shirt, socks, shoes — fold them up and keep them in a drawer. Before bed each night, take out and outfit that has already been put together and put it out so your ready to rock and roll the next morning!
4. PREP YOUR MEALS — this is a HUGE time saver!! Taking 2 hours to cook your lunches and dinners for the next week will not only save you massive time, but you will be less stressed about making sure you’re getting in the proper foods your body needs to operate at its peak potential AND you won’t reach for snacks foods since all you have to do is warm up your already prepared meal! You can even go as far as packing small snacks like fruit or nuts into small containers/baggies for grab and go situations!

I distinctly remember the day I went shopping for the dress on the left. I was dreading EVERY SECOND of shopping because I was so uncomfortable in my skin, had put on weight, and was PRAYING I would find something that look okay on me. 😱 It was a terrible day, I tried on what felt like a THOUSAND dresses, most of them not fitting, and even though I loved this dress, I felt extremely defeated and low that day 😞....⠀⠀⠀

Flash forward to last Summer at Summit. The beautiful yellow dress on the right is the FIRST dress I tried on and it fit PERFECTLY... oh and I also felt extremely HOT AF in it! 😜😜😜.⠀⠀

I didn’t hate myself in the first picture, I was just using food and alcohol to mask the unhappiness I was feeling at that time in my life while trying to keep a smile on my face. 👎🏻⠀⠀⠀

But if you CHOOSE to surround yourself with positive people, eat right, exercise, and listen/read personal development and make that CONSCIOUS effort to grow and evolve.... Sooo many road trips, a couple speeding tickets 😂, late nights, early mornings — you name it he was there. But unfortunately he was taken too soon by someone who rear ended me while being on their phone 😭. ⠀

Another choice is LOVING your body. It’s badass to accept your body and is “imperfections”, being thankful that you have a body that is able to take whatever you demand of it, and embracing it for all that it IS! 🙌🏻.⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you’ve followed me for some time, you’ve probably noticed my lack of social media presence over these last couple weeks as well — and I’ll use the cliche line: it’s not you, it’s me 😂😂⠀

Over the last couple years I’ve really learned to focus in on my feelings and my mindset and I know that there is a HUGE correlation between that and my workouts. When my mind ain’t right, I pull back and lose interest in the things I love the most. HOWEVER, I know that I can snap myself out of it if I just MOVE out of my own way and get my sweat on. ⠀

Some days it’s harder (like these last couple weeks) and some days I wouldn’t dare skip a workout... all I know is that “just keep swimming” keeps replaying in my brain over and over and over again.⠀

Working on yourself is a CONSTANT battle of emotions and doing hard things. ⠀

I am NOT perfect. I still struggle. But the difference between Chloé now and the Chloé 4 years ago is that I have people to rely on and I also have people who rely on me to show up.. even when I just ain’t feelin it...⠀

I mean... Don’t eat it for breakfast everyday...but to replace your animal-fat heavy, sugar-laden, digestion-halting regular cheesecake? Absolutely. ⠀

Here’s the deal: this cheesecake is raw, meaning that all the powerful vitamins, minerals, and enzymes present in the whole foods you use to make the cake remain in tact. Instead of an atom bomb of empty calories in your belly, you actually have a handful of fruit, nuts, and raw honey swimming around, and your taste buds are none the wiser. Ha! 😜.⠀

Crust:⠀
1/2 cup raw almonds (pecan or walnuts will also work)⠀
1/2 cup soft Medjool dates⠀
¼ tsp. sea salt⠀

Filling:⠀
1 ½ cups raw cashews, soaked for at least 5 hours, overnight is best⠀
juice of 2 lemons⠀
the seeds of 1 whole vanilla bean (or 1 tsp. alcohol-free vanilla extract)⠀
1/3 cup raw coconut oil, melted⠀
1/3 cup raw honey (solid or liquid.)(Vegans use agave nectar.)⠀
1 cup raspberries (thaw completely if using frozen)⠀

Truth be told I fell off this past week... not working out, not focusing 100% on my nutrition.. and although it may not look like anything changed, my mindset and my energy levels dropped.⠀⠀

The second I feel myself feeling less motivated, exhausted, basically dragging ass and moody AF... I know I need to give myself a swift kick in the behind, put my big girl pants on, and go sweat it out! ⠀⠀

I allowed myself to wallow in not feeling well — working every day travelling through it and convinced myself I wasn’t capable of working out through it as well — MEANWHILE had I just sucked it up and got it done, I probably would have felt better faster. ⠀⠀

So today I picked myself back up, put on some killer tunes, added another fricken set of risers to my step and started round 2 of my Conquer Your Mind — Transform Your Life program! ⠀⠀

Did it suck.. YUP. Did I have to stop throughout the workout.. YUP. Did I give up? HELLL NO! ⠀⠀

This journey does not have a finish line. You can stop and start SO many times — I know I have. BUT I won’t ever give up my fight 👊🏼.⠀⠀⠀⠀
