New manuscript box from with new novel typescript inside. If you cart drafts around and edit by hand like I do, I highly recommend this box. It's sturdy and beautiful. The image is a reproduction of the French cover of "Around the World in Eighty Days."

My daughter has returned from a summer working in London and brought this note penned at the Jane Austen Center in Bath. "I am very lucky that my mom instilled a love of Jane Austen. I only wish you'd taught me how to write faster with a quill. Now I know why Austen only wrote six books."

My grandson is turning 2! I am gathering presents to send. The book "Wombat" by .bunting was a staff pick at . Hopefully my son and daughter in law will forgive me after reading it aloud 1000 times because it is very repetitive in a perfectly toddler sort of way. Hey, I did my time with Dr. Seuss. Time to pass the torch.😊
