Engage Inspire Expose
Non-Profit organization created to help students and families understand the path to college sports
Saturday, July 27th we concluded our Summer Initiative Program.
Our final session focused on the College Application Process. Student-athletes were introduced to the different parts of the college application and how to make their application stand out. Before closing the session they were given a list of more than 200 national scholarships, some of which could be applied for as early as 9th grade.
Thank you Laura for coming and chatting with our student-athletes.
I am sad that I did not get pictures.
This week's session (07/27/2024) will be focused on the college application process. The session will be taught by Laura Molina, the Director of Programs for Attollo, and she will be covering the college application process, what to expect, where to find resources, and how to have a standout application.
This week we will learn how yoga can help athletes protect their joints, recover after workouts, and strengthen their muscles. We welcome Amanda Lyda, a Yoga Instructor from Evolution for this interactive session. Lunch will be Pernil, Arroz con Gandules, and Empanadas from the best Latin Fusion Restaurant in Lancaster County, Flora's.
Thanks again to the speakers who came out last week and chatted with our small group. Information is so important especially when trying to reach a goal and these awesome people imparted some valuable knowledge to the group.
We had a change in the speakers, in addition to Dave Perry and Devonne Pinkard, Teasia Pena will be chatting with the students.
