At our meeting last night we had a speaker Todd Osborne from the Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience, University of Florida He discussed Shoreline Restoration Projects which involves growing oysters and using them to help break wave action to reduce erosion along the shorelines around Florida. Thank you Todd for taking your time to speak to the club.

We had a great meeting lastnight..we presented awards to our young anglers who caught some fish in July and to our adult in and offshore winners. We also gave out 2 checks to 2 organizations from money we raised with our kingfish sales. We were able to donate 1300.00 to each organization of Pie in the Sky St. Johnsand also Investing in Kids - INK. They are both great organizations.

We had a great turnout for tonight’s meeting. We gave out angler of the month awards for May and June. Awards for our in-club kingfish tournament and for May ladies month. Congrats to all the anglers. We also presented Bert Walton with a plaque for his dedication to ACGFA. Thank you to Shana Gouge for being our guest speaker and talking about her business. Awards will be two hours after final weigh-in. Please come out and support the Juniors and Adults for the awards.

Don’t forget ALL JUNIOR will get a prize if they weighed a kingfish during yesterday’s event.
