This birthday cake topper came about after I needed a quick way to jazz up and personalise a Costco chocolate cake for my Son's birthday recently. I then used the same file again the following week with a change of colours for my Daughter's birthday cake. It became apparent how versatile it was for any age and any colour/theme, so I set about refining it to what it is today! There are soo many colour schemes that this will work with. It also works brilliantly as a card topper (minimum card base size 6inch square needed). Just add your required name(s) to the banner and maybe even a number to one or more of the balloons. I have been having some fun creating some kinetic card toppers. These two "dancing" cuties are available now in my Etsy store and I have more coming soon! Card stock and adhesive is all that is required, no brads etc needed. I have also been thinking about creating some cake toppers and will hopefully get something listed soon.

My Scan n Cut has been a little sick over the last couple of months, it needed to be sent to a local sewing machine shop for a repair – they have replaced both the feed rollers at the front and, thankfully, that has cured the problem, and it is now back as good as new! Not having my SnC has forced me into using my Cricut Maker, a machine I have until now considered my backup, so not all bad as I have been pleasantly surprised by it!

It has also given me time to have a tidy up and think about all the files I have on my computer! I have created many designs over the last few years, either for personal use or for our local Scan n Cut group to use and I thought it was time to gather some of those ideas and possibly extend the sets where I can. A customer recently sent a lovely review that showed a photo of a gift bag she had brilliantly embellished with one of our Easter Flowerpot Designs. She had used the money holder set but removed or replaced the money holder part. This could work with all the flowerpot designs in this set by removing the money holder cut outs and/or using an extra plain pot! They could also be used for card toppers etc, and the blank “pot” has plenty of room to be personalised for the recipient or with a message!

This also led me to thinking that this money holder set could easily be enlarged and used as décor pieces – I just had to have a go, so photo shows the Bunny Daisy design. I enlarged it to approx. 13 inches (22cm) but could have gone a bit larger. I used an extra “back pot” instead of the front pot with cut outs and didn’t use the white backing piece. Just remember to select all parts before changing the size!!

Etsy Listings - Problems with Trademarks and Logos!!

You may have recently noticed that our Etsy items and photos no longer have the “full” confectionery names listed or showing. Etsy’s AI keep’s deactivating our listings – unfortunately they are not very good at telling us what exactly we are doing wrong!!!! After a bit of trial and error, we think it is the inclusion of “Kinder Surprise” as this item is not available in the USA because of choking risk to small children with the toys being inside the actual edible part. We are therefore taking the opportunity to obscure references to this and other trademarks and logos etc which may cause problems, by using asterisks within the text and “blurring” the logos on photos whilst hopefully keeping it obvious.

Our Etsy listings, in general, include designs and sizes for the following confectionery (or similar):
- Kinder JOY,
- Kinder Surprise,
- Cadbury Crème Egg (or variations of similar size),
- individual Lindt Lindor,
- Ferrero Rocher,
- 1 inch round Lollipops (such as Chupa Chup and Tootsie Pops)
- small Kinder Bar (12.5g) that come in multipacks.

Please note that not all sets on Etsy include all the sizes, but hopefully with this list you will be able to decipher and clarify what is included for each listing.

Hopefully this doesn’t cause too much confusion, but please feel free to contact us if you need clarification.

Very excited to introduce my new Easter Egg and Confectionery Holder collection. This cute set includes a Bunny and a Chick cheekily peeping over the edge of Flowerpots.

There are 3 versions for the bunny, “daisy”, “tulip” and carrot and 2 versions for the Chick – “daisy” and “tulip”. All versions come in 7 sizes ranging Kinder JOY and Surprise, Crème Egg, Ferrero Rocher, Lindt Lindor, Kinder bar 12g and 1” round lollipop.

This set is sure to be a hit with Easter and Spring themed celebrations! Files include svg’s that are suitable for Cricut*, Scan n Cut, and other makes of digital cutting machines.

I admit, I am a little late to the party for this year, but sudden inspiration at the weekend led to my latest “character” who is now available in my Etsy shop. With the Superbowl happening just this coming weekend (my hubby’s favourite team is playing!!!!) you should still have time to get this American Football player cut in your team colours and filled with yummy treats just in time for any celebrating! It's not often I get to create my designs for friends and family, but this cute set was created specifically with family members in mind as they await the birth of their first child. This set includes a lovely "pregnant lady" with a messy bun hairstyle, a cute baby bottle and a teddy bear with hearts for nose and paws! I know I should have got myself sorted and got these listed much earlier but if anyone is looking for last minute Jubilee Décor items to make, a large Crown and a Corgi have been added to my large Décor pieces.
