At the Fearstop, we highly value our sound therapy sessions. Do you know why?
"You have noticed that often when you listen your favorite music, you also feel a particular connection, like your body and mind are full aligned with something deeper, stronger than the usual everydayness. That is because our emotional apparatus is unique. It has been built through years, through pain and happiness, trauma and joy. But it was also made of memories, not just memories of our life, but lives of all those people that lived before us, which has weaved their emotional experience into the fabric of life. Our life, the life of those before and after us. Hence we inherit our parents DNA which also carries some significant emotional responses. "

"When struggling with a mental illness like anxiety, sometimes traditional methods of relaxation simply don't work in the way we want them to. You may be familiar with the times I'm talking about. You know, those times when exercise and mindfulness apps just don't seem to cut it? We know how difficult it can be to relax when anxiety is making you anything but calm. Sometimes, it feels like you've exhausted every relaxation technique in your coping arsenal, but still can't find any relief. To give you some fresh ideas, we asked members of our mental health community to share the unexpected things that relax them when struggling with anxiety."

"DEAR CAROLYN: I think I may have an undiagnosed case of anxiety. I often have panic attacks that seem to begin when some fears I have are triggered. My spouse says I have a tendency to rationalize my fears — which he believes are unreasonable — whenever I begin to spiral down a deep black hole of fear.
I'm not sure what to do. I've noticed that I become quite distressed when confronted with situations that I cannot control, and try to overcompensate by trying to control whatever I can. I barely even leave the house now. Can you recommend some reading to help me deal with this? I can't afford therapy right now but I'm tired of crying and being afraid of everything. "

"In a recent interview with Forces TV, a U.K. Army channel, Prince Harry opened up about his experience with panic attacks, giving an honest description of what it's like to deal with this mental health issue. "In my case, every single time I was in any room with loads of people, which is quite often, I was just pouring with sweat, my heart beating ― boom, boom, boom, boom ― literally, just like a washing machine," he said."
How many of you can relate to it?
