πŸŽ£πŸ† Congratulations to the winners of the Auburn chapter of the Optimists Club Fishing Tournament held at Optimist Lake on Sunday, May 21st! It was a beautiful day for fishing!🌟
🐟 In the 3-7 year olds category, we had some impressive catches. Taking home first place with a whopping six fish at 35.5 inches was Trea Johnson, while Lily Parrish secured a solid second place with five fish at a length of 26.5 inches. Well done, little anglers! πŸŽ‰
🐠 Moving on to the 8-11 year olds category, the competition was fierce, and the fish were biting. Emerging as the champion, Alexa Vrtiska reeled in an incredible EIGHT fish measuring 41.5 inches, earning them the well-deserved first-place title. Not far behind, Trevor Parrish secured second place with a series of six fish measuring 34.5 inches. Amazing job, young anglers! πŸ‘
🐑 Last but not least, in the 12-15 year olds category, the participants showcased their angling skills. Clinching the first-place victory with two fish measuring 11.5 inches was Taelyn Crawford. And Sophie Falk secured second place with an impressive 5.5-inch fish. You all demonstrated great talent and determination! 🎊
🌟 A big thank you to everyone who participated in this exciting fishing tournament. It was wonderful to see such passion and sportsmanship on display. We at the Auburn Optimists Club appreciate the community's support in making this event a huge success. Until next time, tight lines and happy fishing! 🎣✨
πŸͺ±πŸͺ±Special thanks also go out to Hunter's Headquarters for donating the tournament's bait! πŸͺ±πŸͺ±

Meet a Member Monday:
Today we are meeting Liz Brueggemann. She has been a member of the Optimist-Auburn Chapter for about 3 years and is currently serviing as their Club Vice President. Her favorite club project is Spookfest because it is the first project that she chaired. Her favorite line of the Creed is To be just as enthusiastic about the success of your others as you are about you own. A little known fact about her is that Liz worked for the Salvation Army in the summers as a High School Student in Beatrice, NE. She is a crop insurance agent.
