The events of the past two weeks, and in truth the events that have taken place for the better half of our nations history have been deeply traumatising. As a generation we have cried out for the minimal expectation a people can have of their leaders, that our lives be seen to matter. What began as a plea to end the brutalisation of our youth by the very people we call on to protect us, was met with more brutality. Lives have been lost, lives that we value and cannot let be lost in vain. The events of have left us cast down but not destroyed. We know the despair you feel, we feel it to. We know also, that we cannot afford to relent. Do not be discouraged, as we continue to persevere, to walk in unity and to combine our ideas we will see this New Nigeria come forth.

We urge you to remember to take a moment for yourselves, protect your mental health. This is a race of endurance and we need that we ALL are standing at the end of it.

We are better together than we are apart. A new and great Nigeria

In this time, cultivate the habit of praying and spending quality time with God🙏🏾 Don't excuse yourself from being active because you aren't outside. Try going up and down the stairs at a light pace everyday or watch some home exercise videos and do all the moves to the best of your ability🤸🏾‍♀️ Be sure not to eat too much or too little. Drink water regularly and get in some vegetables, fruits and natural spices🥬 It's also wise to watch the news and stay informed about the global situation of but don't get stuck on that channel. Listen to some positive music, sermons and messages to keep your mind at peace🧘🏿‍♂️ Don't fall into the trap of not having opening and closing hours because you're working from home. Maintain your usual working hours as mush as possible and get to bed on time (no binge watching Netflix every night⚠️) Finally, spend time with family. This is easier if you are at home with them at this time but if not, video chat/call them. We might not get this opportunity to bond with them and friends again for a long while👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We can choose to be afraid or we can choose to show forth the light of Christ is us during this time. Let's not choose fear but life. This is our mood today and always knowing that in Christ we have victory over all plagues and problems💪🏾🙌🏾✨
