Hey! Just letting all of my “Live Well Mom” followers know that I have re-branded my website. Facebook did not allow me to change the name of this page and so I have launched a new Page for it called Beauty in the Broken Blog. I also have created a separate group for USANA Updates. I will post both links in the comments for those of you who want to join/like and stay updated 😊

Amazing about mother's and their babies, born and unborn. A mother's love for her children runs deep, right down to the very cells of her body!

A MOTHER CARRIES HER CHILDREN IN HER HEART, LITERALLY

Mother’s day is the 3rd most celebrated holiday worldwide after Christmas and Easter. To all the mothers and mothers to be, thank you. None of us would be here without you! Here is some amazing information on the mother-child connection I hope you find fascinating!

It’s not just a saying, but mothers literally carry their children in their heart….and brain, breast tissue, and almost everywhere we can think of. This DNA becomes part of her and has been found in the body decades later, even if the baby didn’t live to be born.

It’s called microchimerism, a condition in which women harbor cells that originated in their children even decades after birth.

The cells are much more prevalent in the breast tissue of healthy women than in those with breast cancer. Fetal cells are less common in women who developed Alzheimer’s disease, suggesting they provide late-life protection. Fetal cells can contribute stem cells, generate new neurons in the mother’s brain, even help to heal the heart.

Having kids reduces the risk of breast cancer, but we don’t really know why. If you have kids, you live longer, but we don’t really know why. Women live longer than men, but we don’t know why. This phenomenon may partially explain it.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Purpose

The purpose of this blog is to encourage and uplift moms who feel lonely, stressed and hopeless with the hope and strength I (Donna) have discovered in
seasons of great difficulty. I have been blessed to have had many amazing women encourage and support me throughout the various different stages of my motherhood journey.

This blog is a sort of "give-back" project--a way of passing on encouragement to moms in all walks of life. No matter what you believe about God or where you are in your spiritual journey...wether you became a mom intentionally or unexpectedly, wether you are single, married, separated or divorced...working full-time or part-time... inside or outside the home...on the brink of bankruptcy or having enough to share with others--I can relate because I have experienced what it's like to be a mom in all of these circumstances.

There are MANY joys that come from motherhood... but if we are keeping it real, there is also much pain--on both a physical and emotional level.

I have experienced purpose come from my pain. I have seen beauty come from my brokenness. This is "my truth" so-to-speak, and this is the purpose of this blog, to share my stories of my pain and brokenness with the hopes of encouraging you to see purpose in your pain and beauty come from your brokenness.
