Being outside and wandering to see whatever presents itself is something I enjoy like nothing else.
Although I can be relaxed and in the moment anywhere, that's my favorite place to exist and it's all the better when the camera joins me. I appreciate the enthusiasm and love of my friends and family, who encouraged me to share my photos. Thank you and to all the new friends for visiting the page!

If all mankind were to disappear,
the world would regenerate back
to the rich state of equilibrium
that existed ten thousand years ago.
If insects were to vanish,
the environment would collapse into chaos.

Iβm not so active with my page but I do still get notifications. It was such a lovely surprise to get this one today. Itβs heartwarming to know the critters in my pics are still loved all these years later. π

Feeling so tender hearted this morning as I revisit the photo archives and see wave upon wave of my particular, ongoing exploration of beauty.
By doing so, I feel as though my senses have expanded again, increased in awareness of how light interplays with form ... The burnt ochre of tree trunks singing, the flickering of shadow across a fence, the shimmer of light held within the spider web.
Delicious. Utterly delicious.

We are travelers on a cosmic journey
stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies
and whirlpools of infinity.
Life is eternal.
We have stopped for a moment
to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share.
This is a precious moment.
It is a little parenthesis in eternity.
- Paulo Coelho

π―π SALT RIVER HORSES ππ―
The Salt River wild horses are the historic and majestic creatures roaming the lower Salt River in the Tonto National Forest in Mesa, Arizona. They are the pride of the community, a favorite subject of photographers and the icon of the wild, free spirit of Arizona and the American West.
These wild horses were brought into the limelight during the epic battle for their protection; the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group rounded up large herds of people who gave them a voice; we stampeded congress and we worked toward positive solutions with Federal and State governments. It worked; while almost gone forever, today the Salt River wild horses are protected pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 3-1491 (aka the Salt River Horse Act) We are currently under contract to manage this herd humanely under the AZ Department of Agriculture (AZDA).

A peaceful sanctuary awaits - inside yourself! No matter what is going on in the world, and how out-of-control my thoughts become, when I sit in my meditation chair - for even 5 minutes - everything changes. The world needs us all to remember who we really are - spiritual beings having a human experience. Take care of yourself, and remember to visit your inner sanctuary whenever you need to.
One year ago I moved back to Maine after eight years in Texas. People often ask me if I miss Texas... There are often times when I do, I certainly long for scenes like this one from KTYarbrough Photography π
