This wedding was so special for me! I have been friends with Megan since we were little kids. We met through dance and our friendship grew from there. We knew we were going to be in for a treat when we pulled up to take their engagement photos here. Katlyn’s grandparents’ property was stunning with rolling fields, silos, horses and a beautiful pond that made a perfect backdrop for their ceremony. Despite spending much of the afternoon watching thunderstorms roll by, Katlyn and Jacob had the most beautiful wedding! It was a long time coming for these two and the love that they share. I'm so grateful to have had the privilege of capturing their love story.

These two had such a beautiful backyard ceremony and I am so grateful to have captured it for them. 💕

This was such a gorgeous and intimate elopement at Black Balsam K**b. I’ve hiked almost every trail from Boone to Asheville and was excited to finally add this beautiful location to the list!

I’m so thankful that the incredibly talented Heidi Bee Photography let me tag along with her to capture this beautiful day. Starting out in this business can be difficult but I am so thankful to have friends that value the aspect of community over competition.

Today's been one of the only days it actually felt like winter outside which is insane. The fact that I haven't hated these last few months is so refreshing because the weather has been really nice.

Y’all I hate the cold and the fact that winter is here makes me miss spring and summer so much!

As much as I miss the mountains, I am SOO thankful I don’t have to spend another winter there.

If it isn’t obvious, I’ll never be a northerner because winter sucks🙈

It’s weird not being in the mountains this year. After four years, the parkway became home to me and my weekends were always occupied with epic adventures and hikes🙈

Everything is just so beautiful there and I miss it! Do y’all prefer the mountains or beach?

While my heart is still in the mountains, I’m glad that I can finally experience fall again. It was always so cold in Boone.

I can actually wear light jackets and go to festivals without freezing now! I hope fall is treating everyone well. 😊

A little backstory, this picture was taken at Kidd Brewer Stadium at Appalachian State University, my alma mater. I thoroughly enjoy watching football so I wanted to brag a little bit.

Our football team is now officially ranked 24th and WHEN we beat the Gamecocks, it’ll go up more 😉

I hope you guys had a better weekend than I did! Although the wedding went great, I stepped on a fire ant hill for the second time this month. 🙃

A swollen foot, ice, elevation and Benadryl cream every four hours later and I’m finally able to kind of walk on it again.

We all know getting ready for your big day can be quite nerve wracking. You're trying to make sure that every thing is in place and that your vision will be complete. Most of the time, our plans end up changing quite a bit but that's okay because in the end, the day is even MORE perfect than we even imagined! 💕

Crystal listened to music and jammed with her bridal party to calm her nerves down! What helps you relax? ✨

Happy first day of fall! 🍁 Anhkhoa and I are so used to being in Boone and jumping straight to winter, so it's weird to actually have a fall this year! 😊

I love how many options there are for engagement rings. Each style is so different and unique but also telling of the couple's style and I love that! ❤️ What style of engagement ring do you have? 💍

Typically, engagement pictures celebrate the love between two people but I love how Crystal and Richard celebrated their love and the joining of their family!❤️

I just graduated in May and have a passion for telling stories. Originally I pursued that passion through journalism, but then realized wedding photography was what I wanted to do. Hey guys! I apologize for being MIA, I have just been ridiculously busy finishing up with school. On the bright side, Anhkhoa and I have both graduated from Appalachian State University and it feels SO GOOD!

I am so thankful for my time at App State. While receiving my degree was an important part of the experience, meeting Anhkhoa was certainly the best. I never expected to meet anyone so special in college nor did I expect to be able to start my own photography business. Anhkhoa has been the biggest supporter of this business and has always encouraged me to follow my dreams and for that I am so thankful.

I am also incredibly blessed that I will get to spend the next few months working really hard on this business that I am so passionate about. The website will be up in a few weeks and I can not wait to show you what I have been working so hard on!
