Starting this new year with a new Adventure.

It’s pretty crazy that being a Mountain child I never ever explored beaches, always thought it’s for the lazy and old people.

For the very first time I went to sea, had fun in beach and dived into the Bay of Bengal. It’s insanely amazing, I wish I would have done it before.

It was never in my bucket list, but now it is added. Will explore it more , also it will be cool to try underwater photography some day. Haha!

Special Thanks to for organising such an amazing dive, wonderful trainer and making it fun. The best part was to play rock, paper, scissors underwater.

~Verditer Flycatcher~

It’s always refreshing to see this beautiful turquoise bird found in the hill forests and lowland. There is a myth associated to it- In my childhood people use to tell that if you see her that probably means that it will rain soon.

~Black crested Bulbul~

Saw this beautiful black headed bird with an aggressive looks was perched on a electric cable on a Monday morning in the hills of Nainital.

The black-crested bulbul is generally about 19 cm in length. As the name suggests, the head of this bulbul is black while the rest of its body is different shades of yellow. Both the male and female are similar in plumage. One can make out a younger bird by its slightly duller coloring.

The black bulbul, also known as the Himalayan black bulbul or Asian black bulbul, is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds.

Space is always fascinating, everyday I look up, I use to wonder there is so much to explore in the deep sky. Things which were not taught in school or are in books. Pictures of galaxies, planets, nebulae are so mesmerising.

Thank you Starscapes Experiences] for connecting the dots. Providing the knowledge of sky and connecting to one of the amazing Astrophotographer Shikhar Gupta] to understand the workflows and science behind astrophotography.

This is the first ever photo clicked by me in the astrophotography workshop under the guidance of Shikhar Gupta] Starscapes Experiences] , it was an awesome experience.

Beginning of the new Chapter… To Be continued…

Bird in Frame : Female Khalij Pheasant

I call it a lucky day, capturing a good shot of Khalij pheasant was always on my hit list, I was chasing them for last 1 month as they ran very quickly on a little movement.
I had been observing their behaviour for a while now and spots they come regularly for sun basking. Today when I spot this couple it flew away, I hid myself behind the tree and waited for almost 30 mins with my camera set and it came back (just for few seconds) and luckily I got the shot.

Bird Name : Nut Hatch

Nuthatches are famous for their ability to climb down trees face-first and cling to the undersides of branches.

Nuthatches have earned their name from their fondness for their method of breaking and eating nuts and other tree seeds, especially in autumn.

It moves so fast up and down in the tree trunk which makes It difficult to capture.

B E I N G O N E

Just try to feel the vibe - the cold breeze touching you, temperature below zero degree freezing your fingers, eyes are mesmerized by the spectacular Vista, and the sun is about to rise from the horizon and nothing will stay same afterwards.

So whenever mountain try to break you, stay calm, take deep breaths, close your eyes and open your arms. just try be one with them and wait for the sun to rise.

MORNING HUES

With lot of travel and photogarphying places in last few years. I now get the sense of the hidden hues in the vicinity and later I spend hours sitting infront of PC to give them identity. And create an image to showcase what I actually saw at that moment.

Just can't get over those wonderful moments we had spent together. Exploring in a whole new way wouldn't be that much fun without you guys.

Thank you
and . Hope we get back soon again for the little adventures.

Story behind the shot:
In the Frame :

We were coming back on the last ferry from Elephanta Caves to Mumbai. And sun was setting at the horizon, Sea gulls were flying all over. Suhana stood at the edge of the Ferry, luckily the ferry turned towards the direction of the setting sun for a moment and I fired my camera shutter like crazy as there was a long que for the spot and I don't want to miss the moment and finally we got our shot.

N A I N I T A L
has always been my favorite destination since childhood. Walking in the mall road and then relaxing at the nanda devi temple or boat stand staring at the mesmerising beauty of Naini lake use to be my favorite passtime. 😍

Its been 15 years now and it has become my ritual to do these 3 things whenever I visit Nainital.
1. Have a healthy walk and explore Mallroad.🚶
2. Sit back and enjoy the beauty of Nainital lake for hours. 🧘
3. Have mouth watering thupka and momos at Sonam. 🍜
When are you visiting Nainital ?

Thanks for guiding me to this location. 😍

There are few who grow up with a to bring those fascinating structures into reality.

Do you also want to play Raja Rani game in this castle?
