North of Scotland Girls got a place in the National Finals this year at U11. This weekend they went to Nottingham Tennis Centre to play against some of the top counties in Britian. The girls did so well, great attitude, determination and flight.

The scores did not reflect how close some of the matches were.

The girls finished in 8th place just behind Cambridgeshire.

U18 Play Your Way to Wimbledon Doubles Event for North of Scotland Tennis and East of Scotland underway at Aberdeen Tennis Centre.

The North of Scotland county cup raffle was held at Montrose tennis club on the 6th June. Congratulations to all the winners. 🎉🏆 Thanks to everyone who supported the raffle. A total of £9,145 was raised - a tremendous amount that will go a long way to supporting the Men's North of Scotland team to allow them to compete in Division 1, Eastbourne 🎾

Massive thanks to Rhona for all her hard work to make this happen it is very much appreciated.

The raffle would not have been possible without thr support of local individuals and business. Thank you to everyone who put up a prize and to all everyone who bought a ticket.

The North of Scotland U11 Boys are competiting at U11 County Cup this weekend.

And our 2024 Play Your Way to Wimbledon Boys U14 Singles Winner is Caelan. Massive well done to both him and Callum for reaching the final. Well played both of you.

We all wish Caelan the best of luck when he goes to play on the green grass of Wimbledon later in the year.

U14 boys Vodafone Play Your Way to Wimbledon North of Scotland County Finals are underway at Aberdeen Tennis , Aberdeen.

The North of Scotland County Finals will be as follows

Saturday 15th of June for U14 Boys

Sunday 16th of June for U14 Girls

The North and East will join up for the doubles events and the North will host the junior doubles finals

Saturday 25th of June
Sunday 26th of June

All events will take place at Aberdeen Tennis Centre.

Well done to the both the U10 Girls and Boys teams who competed this weekend.

The girls battled it out in Carlise to finish in 3rd place. Well done girls

The boys competed at St Annes and finished in 2nd place just behind the group winners West of Scotland.

North of Scotland County Cup Prize Draw This prize draw is to raise money for the North of Scotland Mens County Cup team who are playing in Eastbourne in Division 1 this summer.

The North Girls competed at U14 County cup in Div 1 play offs .

The girls fought hard on day one with some great matches against a strong Cambridgeshire team, the 2nd round was against Warwickshire, and lots of very close matches resulted in a 3-3 draw and a shootout taking place. Warwickshire just won this 10-8

Day 2 was a play off between the North and Notts for 5th and 6th place. All 4 girls won their singles matches and North won both doubles matches. The girls finished off a good weekend with a very solid 6-0 win.

Welldone to the North Boys for a great weekend of tennis in Edinbugh at U14 County cup. They finished in 3rd place .

Well done Calean, Callum, Finlay, Ricky and Dean and to captain Matt Kerswell.

This weekend it was the turn of U9 County Cup in Aberdeen.

Both the boys and girls teams competed really well and finished 2nd in both events just behind the overall winners West of Scotland.

Thanks to Stuart Adam who captained both teams.

The North Boys today defeated Hertfordshire 7-0 and succeeded in staying in Division 1 for next year.

The 2nd place finish to Surrey was a huge achievement and is reward for a great team effort this year and indeed over a number of years. The team says goodbye to Alex (3 years), Gregor, Ben (both 2 years) and Harry (debutant) who all made a great contribution winning two rubbers each over the weekend.

“If selected” Logan and Ollie will return next year with nothing to fear having won 4/5 and 3/4 rubbers this weekend respectively. And it will be the other teams fearing Thomas ‘Dicko’ Dixon whose record on his 18s county cup debut reads played five, won five.

Well done all and thanks to Bruce and Patrick for captaining the team.

Day two at Div 1 County week brought some more fantastic performances from the North boys.
After a convincing 6-3 win yesterday against defending two-time champions Kent, it was this year's favourites Surrey who stood in North's path today.
An incredible first two matches where Thomas won in 3 sets and Ben came very close to doing likewise left the score at 1-1.
Ollie came within a whisker of winning a second singles rubber, but unfortunately the boys found themselves 5-1 down going into the 3 doubles rubbers.
A superb doubles fightback and match tie-break win from Logan and Thomas clinched a second rubber which may yet come in very handy. Final score, 7-2 to Surrey.
It's Hertfordshire tomorrow and the North boys have given themselves a great opportunity to finish 2nd and avoid relegation.

The North of Scotland County Youth league will be closing for entries soon.

This is a great chance to get your juniors playing matches across the county against other clubs.

All girls teams are teams of 2 players and all boys teams are teams of 4 players.

U8, U9 and U10 age groups are teams if 4 players (and can be made of boys and girls

The U9, U10 and U8 are usually played at 1 venue over 1 day.

Girls had a good battle with Shropshire today with some very comfortable wins and some long 3rd setters.
The singles ended at 3-3 with a solid 3/3 doubles wins clinching the 6-3 win over Shropshire.
Good luck against Leicestershire tomorrow.

Highly impressive first day win for North u18's in Sheffield today.
Promoted to Div 1 last year, North were drawn to play Kent on day 1.
All seven boys contributed to the victory with singles wins from Thomas, Ollie and Logan meaning it was all square at 3-3 going into the doubles.
A match tie-break victory from Ben and Gregor in a feisty affair took North to the brink of victory. It was match over, 5-3, when Alexander and Harry won 6-4, 6-1 and then Ollie and Logan put the icing on cake each notching up their second victory of the day.
Surrey are tomorrow's opponents.

Well done to all 8 of these players for playing at U8 County Cup.

They represented the North of Scotland at Prestwick today.

Boys won their event and the girls were joint 2nd.

Big well done to you all. Thanks to Alessia for captaining the team and to all the parents for taking the players there and being great supporter's.

Big well done to our U12 Girls and Boys County Cup Teams who competed at the weekend.

The girls were in Newcastle and finished 5th.

The boys competed in Yarn and finished 3rd.

Well done to the North of Scotland U10 girls who went to the National North Finals this weekend in Boston. The girls battled hard against strong English counties, great learning experience for this young team who most are back in action this weekend in the U11 County cup.
