Together we can get back Lagos for Lagos

3 days ago, I was honoured to receive H.E Atiku Abubakar as he attended the Nigerian Bar Association’s Annual Conference. As the largest gathering of legal professionals, many of whom go on to shape our legislature and how it is interpreted and executed by our judiciary, convincing them of the viability of our mandate was of paramount importance.

H.E Atiku’s speech to the delegation was praised for its concise solutions to the persistent problems plaguing our great nation.

His answers mirror many of the solutions we have offered in our mandate for Lagos and it is reassuring to see that our candidacies are what is needed to rescue Nigeria from the current spell of poor leadership. I am confident that with Atiku as our vanguard, we will do all in our power to ensure the PDP’s vision is heard by all Nigerians.

Lagos PDP Gov Candidate, Jandor Picks Funke Akindele As Running Mate

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran, has announced popular actress Funke Akindele as his running mate for the 2023 general elections.

Adediran, fondly called Jandor, unveiled the Lagos-born actress on Tuesday as the duo staged a rally alongside supporters across the streets in the Ikorodu area of the state.

Jandor, who also announced the choice of Akindele as the PDP deputy governorship candidate in a series of tweets, urged the residents of Lagos to work with them.

Stressing that the actress would add more value to his candidacy, he explained that he took the decision based on the clear understanding of the task ahead and the need to work with a co-visionary with shared passion for the emancipation of the good.

According to the PDP flagbearer, the journey demands focus, resilience, and tenacity, and Akindele is large-hearted with a well-known history of service and advocacy.

He also described his running mate as ‘an Ikorodu-born success story’ who has positively transformed the society through several of her projects.

Hello Lagosians! I am quite pleased to share some exciting news with you that concerns our shared interest in making our beloved city and its residents greatly flourish. 2022 is a very important year for every resident of this great state.
It marks the eve of our collective autonomy from avoidable hardship; where we must put our all into freeing ourselves, via the ballot, at next year’s general elections. Alongside a group of eager progressives, I am doing my part in “working the talk”.
Starting with the en masse movement of the Lagos4Lagos members from the ruling party to the PDP, to my emergence as the party’s flagbearer and gubernatorial candidate for Lagos– having participated in the internal democracy that exists within the party.
Since starting this journey seven years ago, I have pledged my total commitment to the crusade of transforming the state of Lagos from her touted wealthy status on paper, to that in which the residents’ standard of living is at par with the state’s wealth and resources.
Most of these concerns really don’t require rocket science to fix. What they do require is an emotionally intelligent, listening and sensitive government. Undoubtedly, Lagos needs a breath of fresh air.
Our agenda is tailor-made to ease some of these burdens holding us hostage. As the face of new governance in Lagos, I will implement people-oriented policies via our carefully crafted T.R.E.A.T to the residents of Lagos.
T.R.E.A.T translates to:
– A Tech-driven approach to Governance
– Rule of Law
– Equity and Inclusiveness
– Accountable Representation
– Transparency (I’d suggest emojis as bullets but that might be a tad too informal)
To all Lagos PDP Members, I say a very big thank you for trusting me with the flag of our party, I promise to fly this with all my God-given efforts and deliver our state from the stranglehold of our oppressors.
To those who also aspired for positions but didn’t get them, I commit to run an all-inclusive government right from the campaign council till we form our cabinet in 2023.
I appeal to the entire populace to work with me and my running mate, who will add more value to my candidacy. My choices running mate is from the clear understanding of the task ahead and the need to work with a co-visionary with shared passion for the emancipation of the good
This journey demands focus, resilience and tenacity. My running mate is someone who is large-hearted with a well-known history of service and advocacy. An Ikorodu born success story who has, through several of her projects, positively transformed our society.
I am proud to present Barrister Olufunke Ayotunde Akindele as my running mate and the Deputy Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Lagos for the 2023 general elections. Together, we will serve and offer you a breath of fresh air.
Above all, what we desire is your action. Do everything possible to be eligible to vote next year, get your PVCs and encourage everyone around you to do the same. Stand with us on our mission to rescue Lagos State from the misrule of the current ruling party.
I am Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor), running for the office of the Executive Governor of Lagos State. It is time.

Be audacious. Contest orthodoxy.

In years to come when you are talking to your children and children's children, ensure you have a good story to tell because they will ask about your involvement and impact in the development of our dear State and also your role in the elections.

Support the right candidate today.
Support Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran Jandor for Governor of Lagos State, 2023

Yesterday Jandor made a reconciliatory and thank you visit to the homes of Dr. Ade Dosunmu, Mr. Jimi Agbaje and Engr. Adedeji Doherty, all of whom are his fore-bearers in Lagos PDP Family.

For Mr. Jimi Agbaje,it was a thank you visit, while the meeting with Dr. Dosunmu and Engr. Doherty both of whom contested the ticket with him before withdrawing from the race was to re assure them that the victory recorded last week was for Lagos PDP and not just for Jandor.

Dr. Dosunmu who had before now, dumped the party for NNPP,rescinded his decision after the meeting and returned to PDP.

With this, the process of winning Lagos for PDP has commenced and it shall come to past in 2023.

PDP…Power!!!

*Jandor Congratulates Atiku for Winning PDP Presidential Primaries*

The Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party Candidate for the 2023 Governorship election, Dr Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran *(Jandor)* has congratulated former Vice President, Alh. Atiku Abubakar on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the party for the 2023 elections.

Alh. Atiku Abubakar came out victorious in the PDP presidential primaries held yesterday, Saturday 28th May 2022 in Abuja.

Jandor described the outcome of the primaries as a good omen for the party and the good people of Nigeria who have experienced untoward suffering under the misgovernance of the ruling APC.

He expressed strong confidence in the capacity of Alh. Atiku Abubakar to change the fortune of the country and return it to the path of glory.

"As Lagos State anticipates a breath of fresh air with the coming of Jandor as the state governor in 2023, also Nigeria will heave a sigh of relief with the coming of Atiku", he said.

Dear PDP members,

Progress in life is empowered in an atmosphere of peace. The umbrella is a symbol of accommodation and togetherness and should remain so, therefore I, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor), am a man of peace, and my agenda for PDP and race for the Lagos top job is all based on clear and well-articulated programs to ensure everyone enjoys true dividend of democracy and wealth of Lagos.

Lagos, for over two decades, has been under the strangulating hold of a single individual and his executing group. If you don’t belong in the group, you cannot partake in, or enjoy our commonwealth, especially in the areas of a decent standard of living, access to basic education, security, affordable quality health care, clean environment, and regular income amongst several others.

My agenda is to institutionalize and evenly distribute concrete and impactful developmental projects such that the everyday Lagosian will feel governance irrespective of their location within the state. Every resident of Lagos should have access to comfortable and basic living conditions.

The standard of living in our Lagos today is so skewed that so many see themselves as unwelcomed strangers in Lagos. That is a very deep source of concern for me. Everyone is entitled to the good things of life. The question is, are we ready to continue to allow a few men and the opposition APC to keep holding sway in Lagos?

As a party, our duty is well cut out for us - work hard and unite to chase out our common foes, APC, for the seat of Government.

Therefore, I call on all our party faithful that holding a sword is a pointer to the crisis. Let us sheathe the drawn swords between us and unsheathe them in the bigger battle, after the primaries, for the heart and soul of Lagos. After all, the primaries is family business and should not be a fiasco.

I urge all my supporters to keep it clean and focused.

I call on our leaders, to let us run the race with decorum and in a peaceful atmosphere, after all, there can be only one winner, and afterward, we all have the battle to contend with together to win.

I Jandor, am ready, focused, and set to run a race devoid of acrimony for the greater success of my candidacy in the build-up to the primaries.

I have said it many times and I reiterate that we weren’t interested in disrupting the existing structure of the party and we have lived up to that with our utmost support for the party structure from ward to state, not minding whose ox is gored.

So when the opportunity arose to be part of a new process to elect 3 members of the party at the ward level, we participated within our right as bonafide members of the party.

Just yesterday, I met with all PDP LGA Chairmen, at the meeting I told them I will remain unbiased as we gear towards the primary election, this is to correct the insinuation going around that Jandor owns all the party delegates in the just concluded 3 Adhoc Ward congress. No, I don’t own them, they are all members of the PDP and the party ultimately owns all of us.

I told the LGA Chairmen yesterday, and they also know I have little or no interest in their respective Local Governments.

Only two out of those that crossed with us into the PDP are running for House of Representatives from the available 24 seats, while 8 are running for House of Assembly from the available 40 seats.

I further admonished the Chairmen yesterday to ensure we share all elective positions amongst all tendencies in our respective Local Governments without sacrificing the need to put our best foot forward. It’s only by so doing that we can go into the general election with a united front.

I urge every PDP member in Lagos to remain steadfast, resolute, and with eyes on the ball rather than on war-war.

Support me with your votes at the primaries for an unmatched capacity to lead the party in Lagos to take Alausa from the APC in 2023.

PDP! Power to the People!

Jandor 2023.

The lead visioner of Lagos based socio - political group, TEAM JANDOR, Mr. Abdul - Azeez Olajide Adediran, has congratulated the newly elected President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata, on his emergence.

Akpata emerged as the winner of the Nigerian Bar Association’s (NBA) national elections, after defeating two other contestants who are Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs). The victorious win makes him the NBA’s first non-SAN President in years.

While urging the youths to take a queue from the inspiring feat, Jandor wrote on his official page, "The just concluded NBA election is an indication that we can achieve anything,I mean anything,if we put our minds and efforts to it."

He further charged the youths to take advantage of their numerical strength.

"Just like NBA Young Lawyers made good of their numerical strength and disrupted the narratives by electing one of their own,we can as well use the over 70% of our population as youth to do the needful."

"It’s doable, it’s time," he said.

- Commends team Jandor for grassroots mobilization

The lead visioner of Lagos sociopolitical group TEAM JANDOR, Mr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran on Monday, hosted the community based media practitioners at a media parley.

Jandor, as he is fondly called, charged the media outlets across the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council development areas to take ownership of the drive to make Lagos work for Lagos.

Answering questions from the journalists who acknowledged the impact of TEAM JANDOR through its philanthropic programmes in education, empowerment and the drive to kill poverty and not the poor, he said: "giving does not mean I am rich, it is because I know how it feels not to have at all".

"To businessmen, it means making Lagos work, to guarantee the ease of doing business and to the youths, it means getting more jobs and better standard of living," he added.
