Hey everyone, I wanted to clear the air about something a lot of people have been asking about, but needed the time to properly digest and reflect on. Mise En Place, sadly, is no more. Coming to terms with this situation has not been easy or pleasant. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, things don’t always go as planned, and that’s what happened here.
MEP was born when Covid hit. It was a response in a time of uncertainty and fear for our futures as cooks and restaurateurs. And while we worked very hard to build something unique and special for you during this difficult period, there were certain factors that arose (some even surprising to us) that made it absolutely impossible to continue this operation despite our will to keep pushing forward.
First I want to say, how truly grateful and humbled I am for your support of this project right out of the gate. It was such a joy to see old and new names pop up on our order sheets, rooting us on and supporting us. Really, thank you! Second, I want to thank my incredible team for helping me build this. Your dedication to the idea was the reason we were able to do anything at all. Finally, I want to say thank you to our suppliers, vendors and all the local restaurants that jumped on board. You showed the true spirit of this city, and I was honoured to have you a part of this.
