A wonderful photo from this year's Shaftesbury Fringe, which was one of my favourite performances of The Stuntman ever. Looks like a record toothpick stunt but Guinness weren't there to confirm.

A DIVERTINGLY SILLY HOUR OF PHYSICAL JAPES
"Part stunt show, part surrealist clowning act, Nathan Lang's frenetic hour features him as the stuntman of the title and a whole host of supporting characters. The framing narrative (although that's a pretty grandiose term for this raucous grab-bag of physical buffoonery and rabid what-the-f**kery) concerns the stuntman following in his father's daredevil footsteps and coming a cropper.
Offering up some pretty ropey stunts and a fearless approach to audience interaction, the story unfolds in a series of sketches that showcase Lang's consummate physical comedy skills to the max. Highly inventive with a minimum of props, he uses literal word balloons to great effect, evoking a comic-book energy.
Interludes include a scene in a sauna that involves Lang wearing a very flimsy pair of underpants, a quest for hot chocolate, and a very aggressive bird, sometimes all at once, so that the parade of characters, scenarios and bewildering segues builds to a relentless onslaught of action and left-field scenarios. A daft and diverting hour of silliness, you can expect to laugh an awful lot and not know why. Lang has come a long way since playing Pinhead on Neighbours back in the day: ask your parents, kids."
